Ooooh that's an interesting one. I am very much on the fence with Fordola. While I can understand the feeling of doing whatever you have to do to survive in the face of discrimination, most of her actions were inexcusable. However, I also believe in redemption, and I feel like Fordola should be given the opportunity to achieve it. Whatever redemption means for her.

game needs to be shut down for 6 mo- 1 yr and come out with "FFXIV a realm reloaded"
It would be great, the matrix of the gaming world.
Stay tuned for FFXIV, warrior of light revolutions
Hope you took the red pill

Version 1.23b was better.

Wish there was more fear of death in the game. Through powerful monsters in the over world, need to actually think in a dungeon, and a death penalty that is more than the party disbanding cause it didnt happen on the first try. I know we are getting "something" like that in eureka but even then, it sounds tentative.
• I don't like that I can't buy all of the MGP I need in the Gold Saucer.
• I dislike the difference between gathering for scrips and crafting for scrips. It seems as though I can gather collectibles at a reasonable rate; however, it is very time consuming to gather all required mats, craft crafted mats, then craft items as collectibles for, what seems like to me, a small amount of scrips in return.
• Main Story Roulette needs fixed. Have an option in DF to allow skipping cutscenes. Those who don't will be rewarded more. You’ll be queued separately. Have DF ask you before you confirm your duty. This helps sprouts and veterans.
• I think SE should impose sanctions on those exploiting housing. Give those in violation a chance to comply. If they don't adhere to the rules then act on the sanction, relinquish their property, and allow honest players a chance to purchase housing.

Well...
- I could use more solo-able content. The enrage timers should go and those prey mechanics (that's a enrage timer for who's soloing) should go off
- The healer community gives me the impression that playing with then means hearing during all the run he ranting about how bad you are and how little are your DPS according with his parser. Even when you, as healer, overdamage a DPS player. But for them, an ice mage, an mute bard, a AoE-lass anyone or someone that don't get out of that red circle is somewhat moral and beautiful and they're contributing more that that damn healer that is wasting every GCD trying to keep that same party alive while all his oGCDs is on cooldown.
- Speaking of healer, I think that most content can be safely solo-healed if the other 7 persons are competent enough. Even Bahamut Prime was solo-healed. If they aren't, 2 healers can not be enough. No healer can save someone who steps on stupid everytime. He only delays its death...
- Yet about healing, if healing on this game is about DPS'ing, healers could use some more potency. Like.... Maybe... 50% more? Casting the same spell over and over and over and over... Is boring. If SE can't bring more damaging spells for us or even create a proper rotation, at least let us melt our enemies faster spamming that filler. It is boring to spend 4~5 GCDs to take down a single trash mob on PoTD, while RDM take down the same mob at the same level with a single GCD
- I enjoy FATEs. Sometimes I stop to do them, normally solo.
- I find the buff times too short and the GCD is too slow. And melding Spell Speed is worthless, since the difference isn't noticeable on cast time. 0.2 seconds is not that worth.

I just want the characters to stop huffing paint because the plot demands it. I just finished 4.2 last night and throughout the entire thing I called out the twist, including all the particulars within the opening minutes of the new bad being introduced. Having to sit back and watch everyone be oblivious /AGAIN/ was grating. Especially when they /finally/ caught on when it was too late to do a damn thing. We're back to ARR levels of character stupidity for plot progression and I'm honestly sick of it, especially when it forces genuinely smart characters to be idiots because the writers can't figure out how to reach a specific plot point any other way but to reduce their intelligence.

I was a bit annoyed at the end of 4.2 because I made my character point out they didn't agree with the situation, then my character is shocked at the end? Why? I wish SE would create scenario responses to your options. I.e choice A = path 1, choice B = path 2. All they would need to change is an emote reponse, the text wouldn't even need to change. :weary:
It feels like... why give us text choice options if said choices don't actually make a difference to the overall cutscenes. xD
I understand it's to give the illusion of choice but... eh.. it's not that great.

Let me elaborate then. I like co-operative team-based play against AI, which is what an MMORPG should primarily be about. I dislike PvP, which is what an MMO shooter (or fighting) game should primarily be about. Which is why I choose to play this RPG over a shooter, or competitive fighting game.
For example: I would've liked to have seen the entire story of the Four Lords at once. Instead of a new PvP map, and whatever else "PvP" that I skipped while reading the patch notes. That's not practical, I know. They need to stretch the content. People enjoy the PvP, for whatever reasons. But if they could've added another interesting side story, or even a PvM wave-based system, I would've been far more interested in that type of content.
You hating Hunts, FATEs, and the like, is fine. I'm not endorsing them either. However, that type of content is actually what belongs in FFXIV imo. Now, whether that content has been implemented well is another discussion.
I'm not trying to have a "limited mindset" about it. Not like I'm calling for a ban of PvP. I simply feel development time could be better spent on elements that better fit an RPG, rather than being spent on making FFXIV into the latest MOBA. There are actual games suited for that type of content.
So TL;DR: What I meant by neglecting PvP, is that I wish for them to be more focused on the RPG aspects, and stop trying to make FFXIV an e-sport.
But then... this thread is for unpopular opinions. If hate of PvP is as bandwagon as you say, maybe I'm in the wrong thread. =P
I used to be an adventurer, but then my ping increased.
