Managed to relocate our Fc house to mist and we have some neighbors down the beach... FC's owned by one person. How many of these have bought houses now lol

Not once did I say any purchased or occupied small plots were slums. My meaning was that while yes... they are opening more wards and such they are also opening a HUGE number of small plots. The problem isn't that we need a massive amount of small plots it's that we need more medium and large. I apologize if my slum comment upset you. Perhaps if they were to figure out a way to balance the small plots vs the mediums and large? And yes... on a personal level with my FC I am a bit upset but I am not only upset for just us. There are plenty of FCs that NEED a large house and didn't get one. Hell I was pissed my own wife was able to relocate from her small house to a large plot IN SHIROGANE!
I'm not even sure we want to know.
Just looking at Faerie's Shirogane Wards 13 through 18, only medium and large houses, I count 25 possible/likely dummy FCs. One is owned by someone I have personally witnessed botting, and another is a member of one of two house flipping groups that I'm aware of. No way of knowing how many are actually intended as personal plots vs how many are just squatting.
They don't have to be characters on unique service accounts, so you can just have a buddy form an FC with you by inviting 3 throwaway alts on his account. Level the FC up to Rank 6, buy a plot, boot out the alts, and presto - FC house acquired! It's really that simple.Maybe i got something wrong in the patchnotes, but even with all the small/medium plots free on the empty servers no one except a FC can buy them right now right? And an FC needs now atleast 4 members to buy a plot. So even if you thinking about opening a own FC just to be able to buy a house this will not work until you recruits some members. I wonder how it works for people that invite somebody just to reach the number and kick them again once they bought the plot.
btw still plenty of smalls and mediums free on Moogle. The new wards are pretty much empty except for the sweet spots like larges or the ones with perfect view e.g. LB 11/41.
This is why they should allow the apartments to have more than just 1 room and allow for a balcony type garden that would be equivalent to that in the 3 different sized yards. The main difference here would be you all start out at a small size apartment, then just upgrade it to a medium, large, even maybe a penthouse style to match more of a mansion sized place. Either way something has to give. It's ridiculous to those of us that had a sliver of hope they'd get on to be able to login and buy a large plot for themselves only to find that they are all gobbled up by fc's, transfers, or fc bots before we ever get the chance.
Outside of garden sizes, and interior decorating capacity. Why would your FC "need" a large house? Are you a large group (50+)? FC centric features like workshop and personal rooms is the same regardless of housing size.
And I just checked lodestone and the FC of the character on your forum profile already has a large estate.
Yes we have a large FC we wanted to relocate. Change of atmosphere. We don't really like the current zones at all... but Shirogane is amazing.Outside of garden sizes, and interior decorating capacity. Why would your FC "need" a large house? The idea for reservation was like this. Reserve a size... not a specific plot. Pay a fee. They open wards based on reservations. When the wards open give them 2-3 days to secure a plot (fee discount applied). If they don't claim then fee is forfeit and plot goes up for sale as usual.

If you say so.
Best is to wait for next phase, because they still can't figure out how to change housing systems.
