So, then wait for next round. Can't believe you're crying foul just because you want to move to a different ward.

So... because I have a large FC house then I have less rights than the next person? Especially when moving would still free up a large plot for purchase? And this also justifies all the other players who were waiting for a house in general? I'm "crying" because the system is in desperate need of reformation not just because we wanted to move our FC. There is a forum post right now with a screenshot in it showing a single FC controlling most of a division. I'd rather play FF14 1.0 then deal with the "next round" of housing being released.

Naw, it's because literally there is no way to make everyone happy. Your FC has a large but you're still upset that it's not THE large you want. Even if they changed it to what you suggest in your first post, you (and many others) will still be disappointed because you will not likely get the plot you want that way either. There are still houses around, people are turning up their noses at them because they're not big enough, or they're not in the location they want, or whatever else. Start with a small, even if it's a shite one you hate, and then you can work on getting upgraded later. If you miss out, /shrug there's always next time, you still have your current house to enjoy, which is more than a lot of people can say.

Due to the restrictions yes... nobody wants a medium or small plot.

I mean, I won’t deny that there shouldn’t be more Larges/Mediums...but some of these mediums are definitely nothing to scoff at. That are a lot of mediums that beat out Larges in terms of view and plot (e.g., Plot 11/41 in the Lavender Beds gives Larges a run for their money any day...those plots actually sold first on Cactuar, not the mansions in the Beds).

You are right. I do still have our current FC house which does everything any other large will do. Doesn't stop me from being pissed about how crappy the system works.

True. My main point of this is there are honestly just way too many small houses, nowhere near enough medium and large, and overall the system is flawed... not JUST for me there are others who are suffering still with NO FC house at all. When I heard they were going to allow individuals to own housing within the SAME locations as FC I knew this would be the outcome. As I said before my wife actually managed to upgrade her house from Small to Large AND get into Shirogane and I'm pissed at her too!

Shirogane was bound to be packed, in terms of people wanting houses. Especially after what happened in 4.1 for all the people that wanted a house there, and got screwed over by faulty launchers, lobby errors, and 90k errors. It’s also the “shiny new housing district”, so, naturally people are going to flock there.

I’ll never deny the Housing system in this game is bad. It is, and I think the developers need to consider looking into instanced housing if the game continues to grow, because the Wards will never be enough to satisfy the demand—whether this be by adding in instanced “wards” or actually making apartments not garbage. But still. You still have a large, and that’s more than a lot of people can say.

I honestly wish they would take PSU as an example for housing especially for single players. It was AWESOME. If you never played PSU basically you had a decent sized room you could decorate which could also be expanded into a player shop. The shop system was a market board where it listed every item sold by every player. So for example if you wanted to buy a Trimate (healing item) you would PHYSICALLY go to their room to buy it. Meanwhile... you get to look at all their cool designs AND even interact with a gacha machine (I think I spelt that correctly). You could fill the machine up with junk items and maybe 1 or 2 good items and set a price. Players could then take turns for the set price in hopes of winning the good stuff. It was small scale... but... with enough effort it would be great for FF14!

I swear, this community is slowly falling apart from not able to handle one of the most minor content for people to enjoy.

Some players just play this game to be with others they know & want to play with, beyond that,,, the game,,, the housing is just,,, <insert words>
