This is a game owned by SE and SE CAN change the rules.
SE can close the game, if it's not profitable (or every other reason).

Players should stop using common sense in a game:
I'm pretty sure none you is going to buy a (real) house running with 40M of Gil in a bag, hoping the others get disconnected, right?

By the way, what do you think about a FC deplying 20+ submarines tomorrow?

I read a while ago that SE intendet only 4 Ships per FC, i dont know for sure if this is true but lets assume it is. On my server (Ragnarok) is a guild that owns more than an entire ward, at the last count they ownt 132 ships, maybe more today. I didnt saw an info how many submarines one workshop can have. But even if its just one this guild will surly have them maxed out in no time, witch means they will own a total of min 33 submarines. No i dont think thits is fair, i think this one guild showing all others players on the server their big middle finger. I highly doubt that SE intend to fix stuff like, even if they realy should.

No, not really - SE contributed heavly to the problem by not only making housing limited but also by lowering housing prices when inflation was already happening. Houses used to be 2 or 3 times the price with money being harder to make because there has been less in the game. Instead of adjusting plot-prices to reflect that (aka: raising them), they lowered them.
That doesnt only allow people to just buy and flip houses, it also creates the illusion that everyone who got 4 million gil on their hands should be able to own a small houses, because thats the current cost of one.

This, SE is at fault with the housing system, completely at fault. This update could of happened in HW or before SB housing. SE had a lot of chances to prevent the situation now but they love shortcuts sooooo

Oh yeah vidu makes a good point, not only did SE had lot of chances to fix it, they only made the matters worse by making the houses too cheap. 100% SE, can't blame the players at all.

It is simple, for any supply amount there is, there be a related demand. The more rare something is, more people want it. This is balanced out by making an appropriate price for said rare thing. So when SE made smalls 2-4 M or whatever, there was more people with 2-4 M then with housing, all they had to do was make it something like S: 20-40 M, med : 60-80 M, L: 100-150 M and you would had less shortage problems, not a hard concept.

Wrong. They can do whatever they want. It's their game. It's in the ToS. If they decided to re-do housing because they wanted to and we lost all our houses we equally wouldn't have any say. The same goes if they remove multiple homes from people who own more than the new limit.

Next Frontline PvP map should just be in a copy of one of the housing areas where the objective is to torch as many houses as possible faster than the other team. Have points around the map that give you special abilities, like summoning a random primal to demolish a house, calling in an airstrike where airships come in and carpet bomb houses, or you can just do it the old fashion way beating it with sticks until it collapses.

I don't think a lot of people understand how dead Mateus was. They just see it as "Hey we moved to this dead server" expecting a house and when they realized two people owned an entire ward it became "That's not fair. I'm entitled to a house."

A lot of people that are apart of the lynch mob are from other servers or people who really just never took the time to save up gil and buy a house. So anytime I see anyone bring this up I just roll my eyes at them.

Eliminating all private housing is certainly one solution.
