It's really not a question of whether they can, but if they will. If they are having such difficulties expanding the system then they really should do something. There's no reason to over-complicate it either out of bitterness. Pick 1 house and refund the rest, shove items into storage for that house or something similar.

Lets be realistic here.SE did not cause the problem.The player community did.Nobody told them to go out and buy as many houses as possible and screw every other player out of it to make money.
Yes SE should have put measures in places to prevent the issue but this issue was created by the community.

No, not really - SE contributed heavly to the problem by not only making housing limited but also by lowering housing prices when inflation was already happening. Houses used to be 2 or 3 times the price with money being harder to make because there has been less in the game. Instead of adjusting plot-prices to reflect that (aka: raising them), they lowered them.
That doesnt only allow people to just buy and flip houses, it also creates the illusion that everyone who got 4 million gil on their hands should be able to own a small houses, because thats the current cost of one.

Those ladies continued to buy up plots after the server became populated. They deserve any and all hate they've gotten since they bought their 30th lol

And once again this was only an issue because the community decided to take advantage of it and each other.Its always going to come down to the fact the community decided to use housing as a way for making profit.That is the main deciding factor as to why we have the housing issue.People need to stop blaming SE and just try not screw each over in the game for gil.

Sry but i think this statement is just arrogant on my server plots where sold out since years, when Stormblood came out all new plots where sold out within few minutes. A lot of players that wanted to buy a house didnt even had a chance to enter the new wards in time because of connection issues and lets dont even mention new players. 10 Guildmates tried to buy a house when servers got on only 1 got lucky, maybe im rude but with the way things are right now no one should be able to own more than 1 private 1 FC house per World per Account.

And your point is? connection issues? is that as soon as the server was up ( min right after ) or later on? A group of us went in as soon as server went up and we all got them. It's not a matter of being arrogant, it's more of common sense and luck I guess and where they logged off at.

The people who feel entitled to a house. Like those two people or not, they broke no rules/TOS or such.

The two ladies, but it's just a lack of forethought and courtesy, not malice here. No one complained as there was still availability. Now there isn't, and players rightly wonder why this was acceptable in first place. It just reads as a dick move.

I think that what's done, is done. I don't like too who got full wards for themselves but the system allowed that.

Maybe if SE found evidence those houses were got using third party programs, they can remove them. I were within the firsts to login last time, queue of only 80 ppl ahead, got an house, but I found all and everything bought for relocate it to a better place. It is fine, because the rush to housing is real. But the SAME account buying multiple housing? I think it is impossible to buy a slot and move to another slot then buy again, because when you done your first purchase everything around you has been sold out. Make you are very lucky and were able to buy a second slot. But a third slot? Sorry, that is quite hard to believe you were able to buy it. 4, 5, 6, 7 houses at same time? I think SE really must dig in the logs of those people.

But kudos to who got them honestly.

Resellers have been punished already, because they cannot sell them anymore. There is no need to put hate or punishments to who got multiple housing. It is a thing of the past.
