If they wanted this change to help reset GL before a jump they've woefully missed the mark, because;

What happens if Shoulder Tackle is on CD before the boss jumps?
If the GL stack is tied to the second tackle then again, that means we have to spam both tackles. Not a huge worry but not exactly as easy or graceful as clicking Enochian or BOTD...

Sigh. They just can't admit Tackle Mastery was a shitshow, eh.

The devs design ethos for Stormblood Monk was to base all of its actions around the Fist Stances, and Tackle Mastery is kinda the ultimate form of that. Admitting that Tackle Mastery is a trainwreck of a trait means admitting that their core design Philosphy behind Stormblood Monk was a trainwreck.

Which it absolutely is.

Tackle Mastery is at best to Monks as multiple colors of unicorn mounts are to endgame progression... if only one of those unicorns didn't look like shit.

Choice-locked at best, and, realistically, irrelevant.

I mean, they could have made them important. They could have made them sensible. But for whatever reason they went with "Okay, we have three (essentially) reskins and one functional choice. We're opening new worlds here, people. New worlds."
