4.2 Housing Update

Yoshi already stated, you can find it on reddit, that all existing house owners will not have their houses taken away from them and it'll be grandfathered in. So there is no need to worry about having to chose between houses or selling your houses now that you can. Eventually it will balance itself out anyway over a few years.

To all the ones who feel like its fair to take away another mans property, take a chill pill and accept that those people never did anything wrong, they never broke a rule or a moral ethic code, so its only fair that when the rules get updated they don't have to pay for the game developers their lack of foresight on the matter.
