    Relocation/Upgrade Question

    Planning on trying to upgrade my FC house. Is there anything I need to do first? Do gardens need to be empty and or personal spaces vacated?

    Everything should move over. Indoor and outdoor furniture will be moved into storage when you switch locations (minus the aetheryte & chocobo stables that will be placed in the yard). The garden will retainer the progress and plants while in storage and will resume growth once the garden is placed back on the estate. All free company workshop and personal rooms will transfer over as they are at the time of transfer.

    If you're in a medium+ house and are relocating, make sure you check Social > Housing > Estate Settings > [select estate you want to move] > Storeroom Status and make sure you have two green checkmarks under Relocation Status. The storeroom stretches to maximum capacity (400 inside, 40 outside) when you move so smalls will always be capable of moving, but medium/large estates will need to keep watch.

    I got the chance to move a medium to another medium within Goblet. I have a stupid question though. Didn't they say that if you move within the same size all your decoration stays the same? Only changes if you change size of house? Everything was moved into storage! I'm a little sad

    Tired at this point. I think the way it was initially said was they'd do that if they could or they wanted to do it that way? It didn't end up being that way though so if you relocate you also redecorate.

    Thanks for your replies. At 5, I initially had trouble logging in, but it didn't take long to log in. As I figured, all of the Large houses in Shirogane were sold. However, I had plenty of time to check all the other three wards and decide which Large plot I wanted. I ended up choosing plot 36 in ward 15 in Lav Beds. Which is directly south of where my personal house was if it was in the same ward. After some initial setup, I went back to bed. An hour later, I got up and then transferred my Small Personal house to a small personal house in Shirogane. Then I helped my wife transferred her personal house to the plot where my house used to be on a different ward. Now the only problem is... Now I have a large house to decorate :P My small house also had all of its stuff moved to storage.
