WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
Note how the original post was made on 02/01 asking about the Setzer outfit, and then edited on 02/19 to add the picture showing that it was unisex. That's because up until then, the outfit had only been shown on male characters. While it's possible that it was always intended to be unisex, it's suspicious that it was displayed as male-only for that long before suddenly being advertised on female characters after people complained. It only needed small alterations to accommodate the larger female chest and smaller waist, so it would hardly be impossible for them to fix it that quickly.I don't think it was ever going to be gender locked?

I saw that, buuut.. well.. that's mostly speculation. I'll amend my statement to "SE has never publicly been shown to change planned implementation regardless of complaints made before announced patches. " It's possible they did it on the sly, but they've never said "we heard your complaints and made this change to accommodate you" which you'd think they'd be all over to show that they are listening.Note how the original post was made on 02/01 asking about the Setzer outfit, and then edited on 02/19 to add the picture showing that it was unisex. Plates are independent from stats, though. If someone wants their RDM and SMN to look different, who are you to say they don't need that?
Well, they do claim to be working on the male bunny suit after three years of complaints, and they unlocked a couple of boots and gloves at the same time to temporarily shut us up.
And then there was the time they said, in so many words, that an outfit (the sailor set, which started all the gender locking shenanigans) was originally male-only, but the designers thought it would look cute on girls and just couldn't help themselves.
I did not say that I wanted Pokemon..I said that people wanted to have a similiar system where they could fight against other people or NPCs using their minions. Yes there is a difference between the opinions of the players but I dont remember seeing anyone even requesting something complicated like LoV and seeing how it was nearly death on arrival this was not something that the majority of the playerbase wanted..So.. you wanted pokemon . Alright awesome, pokemon IS super fun. YOU wanted pokemon, other people asked "let us do more with our minions" . I don't remember a huge outcry for pokemon particularly, nor anyone detailing any reasonable system. I actually enjoy LoV (I just like minions really). Bummer other people don't, however they DID listen to "let us do something with our minions".
People said: we want RNG gear and difficult content. SE implemented Diadem. People apparently didn't want THAT kind of difficult content AND the RNG in the same place.
People also write for years that they dont really like doing Fates and yet instead of giving us something new they gave us Fates on a new place (Diadem) and used all the feedback to give us Diadem 2.0 which was even death faster..nobody asked for RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG so yes it seems that they did not listen there too.
I am not saying that they are doing this to anger us..I am just saying that they seemingly either get the wrong feedback back or read the data in a wrong way. For example people are doing fates because its one of the few ways to level up yet a lot of people complain about it because its not fun. Yet they only take the numbers of people doing fates and somehow read it as people like doing them.
Also the problem I (and probably others) see with this dresser is that they dont have a good track record of these things in the past. We cant say for sure that they will increase the limit because they promised an increase with apartments and never did it..we also know how long it took them to change anything with housing (if they even change that) so who can say if they will ever introduce a better system than that? In the end this is just another retainer with an limit. A bandaid on the real situation..and over the years I lost my trust in them so I dont remain optimistic that we will get something great and long lasting in the future..maybe they will surprise me but I remain skeptic..
And we already do know how much of it function so we already can give our feedback to it and should be allowed to post about this in the forum. And if a lot of people say that they dont like it then maybe its not that great. And maybe we are just getting tired of bandaids that dont solve the problem on the long run.
Ähm I was not talking about any combat jobs? I wrote gatherers and crafters..And yes I do use all of the crafter and gatherer jobs and I take my time to gear them up with the yellow scrips items which are often looking quite nice but in the end the best outfit will mostly be the one that is the same for each crafter class and each gatherer class. So if I want to use my hard work and wear the indiviudal gear sets for them and yet use the best gear avaiable too I will already be at the limit of these ensembles. And this is without a single battle job..

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
>tfw the dresser is not a craftable (CRP?) household item yet

Also, I wonder if low-level job-restricted gear can be turned into glamours. I always wanted to make my Cleric and Healer Sets (WHM) glamours since they are not strong enough by themselves.

Well thanks for the info. So you DO need more. Well that sucks. All I can say is that most of the systems start small before blooming into more interesting things. Like the Gold Saucer the company workshops, the squadrons and Palace of the Dead. Hell even treasure hunts.
Listen. I also have things I want from the game. Like races that look less human than the ones we have. Or a far east inspired healer class. Or a fourth mundra. Or intances where we actually see a character bound and gagged and it's not just the tooltip telling us that there are unrendered things on the character models. But I know they will not happen because 1) It can't happen because of budget or the engine. 2) The majority of the community probably does not share my views.
Well as far as I know everything can be glamoured. Aren't they?
That’s what the one plate is for - adding your red mage costume over your summoner equipment. Meanwhile your black mage has its own separate equipment and no second class that needs a glamour plate over it. Thus, two sets of equipment plus one plate to have individual appearance for those three classes.
