Sorry, I do not know the social norms here, I just wont reply to insulting posts. I guess you are right since the next missed a point of mine:



Remember if someone really wants to put effort in thier jobs, BLM will not have the same set (spell speed focus) as RDM/SMN (no spell speed)
Same with MCH and BRD, BRD wants to go crit heavy, pretty sure MCH would want more DH
So the bare minimum is 15 , we should have that to start with, with a goal to have 30. 40 be nice for those that want to make use of some extra slots for lesser important things like rp/ town gear, etc.

You do realize glamour is separate from stats right? this system will not save stats on sets, just appearance. Therefore, whether or not blm and rdm need different stats, has no effect on the number of glamour plates we need. that would be gearsets, which are completely different, and you have 42 of those. I am currently using 26.

Yes please handle it like an initial implementation, not a final. So for now.. enjoy the 10 and push for more later.. don't complain about not having 30 NOW.
.. how does this handle dye poorly? All I know is if you dye the thing before you put it in the dresser that's the color the costume plate will be... do you know how dyes work on the plates themselves? where did you read it? There's been very little posted about the entire process.

Say you have a limited gear like something from mog station and you want to use pure white and black dye for different glams, if you put that base in the drawer you are stuck with that basically and need keep using rare dyes on the other. So it is basically no different then now where people have 2 of the same item, put in different retainers with each dyed differently so they do not have to keep buying those rare dyes.

That is why someone doing min/max would only need 1 caster plate since they will have different sets for BLM, and another for SMN and RDM, so they would only need 1 plate for SMN and RDM since BLM would have its own set

Like how I used to have 9(!) sets of the female thavnairian attire (all metallic dyes except yellow/orange, since I acquired them before those 2 metallics came out, as well as pure white and jet black). All eating away at retainer space. Surely there must be a more cost-effective way for SE to do it?

Hopefully they let us craft the dresser in the future if not 4.2, because I have a feeling we'll get sick of going to the inns over and over and over and over and over again just to change glamours.

really? well still, it shows what the absolute minimum should be for sets, that being 15, ideally they would have a real glam..lo..g.. why did they do this system again over a real glam log? I mean we can only assume why, I wish they say something on it.

how do you know you can't dye a plate? once the plate is set you apply the whole thing to your glamour, so if you can dye the plate you would only have to buy a dye if you wanted to change the plate. wait and see before complaining about something.

With SE's track record, I rather complain before it comes out because doing so after the fact leads us hearing "server limitations" for a year.
