    made more important is one thing. making the crafting system pathetically easy in the process is the problem. do you not realize the crafting system has been gutted? that would be the reason the people that crafted before don't craft as much anymore. i know it's the reason i don't.

    I wouldn't say its been made more easy at all, its been made a shit load less monotonous though.

    Crafting has always been about spamming enter, unless you wanted to HQ and you're still required the same amount of skill to make a HQ item, outside of luck of course.

And the player buys all the materials to make the stacks themselves, they're making about 140K per single stack, 130K maybe if costs are a bit high. Issue is that nobody is selling them so they figure there's no competition, and they can get overly greedy.

    also archer is kinda the class in this game just like in ffxi where it cost a little more to be a good one cause you had to spend some gils to keep it maintained. if your struggling now it might not be a suitable class cause every time we get cap raises or new arrows and things ..the prices will probably be this retarded unless SE decides lets make a no arrow cost to the system. if i sound like i'm kinda ranting on you i'm not, just saying this is how my opinion to it is, others probably don't agree with me but it's how servers usually are. don't let the starting beta of this game confuse you, the whole everyone making things for each other faze woulda coulda shoulda ended long ago. when nothing is in wards it's understandable, when it's packed with these things it's just not happening. sorry if this gets some mad, but if your even putting in a 1% effort into paying for your things like others are you wouldn't have an issue. one way or another there is a grind. go farm some raptor skins or something. usually the time it takes a begger to find someone he could of made the money to buy one.
    Thanks for making assumptions there... The issue is some items, hell, a lot of items are overpriced. And why's that really? There's fewer crafters. As I was buying the materials myself I noticed there was a huge stock of every item required just to make the arrows. Problem was nobody was bothering to make them and the few that were wanted to overprice stuff. And two things... I'm by far not struggling, my gear actually pretty decent (Not top grade but a bit better than I've seen on some people.) and I offer to pay every time, in fact I often over tip just out of kindness since they took their time out to do this. Most often I have people who will do it for free. The issue at hand is even with a reward there's so few crafters around these days there's only a handful who even care enough to do it.

    Thats bound to happen in a game with such a small population, the only thing I suggest is trying to befriend someone who can make them for you on a regular basis, assuming you give them a good reason to make them for you, ie the materials and a tip for making them.

    not made easier? how about the removal of training, not needing guild support, big bonus sp on turn in, next patch the hq process is being made 100% known in advance. all of those things made crafting easier no matter how you look at it. it took a hq system that was fun and rewarding and ruined it.

    yeah that is bad lol, but really there is probably something like that in every craft to make up for it by each person. arrows bought by you, but in your crafting class there is probably another item that is selling heavily costly. it equals out usually. not always but in most cases yes. heck you can just grind a class and have made a few million just by making some materias to sell at exact same time. 2 birds with one stone. but i do agree it is kinda hefty of a price hike lol. if servers weren't dead empty he probably wouldn't get away with it. at least not for more then the first few weeks of the recipes coming out.

    Crafting has never been fun, there is a good reason why so many people don't craft !

    You could say that the removal of training manuals and guild support made crafting more easy I suppose, but what with random chance being such a major factor in crafting its hard to say either way.

    I could craft and put stuff up for sale but I find in most cases the competition is so high that I end up losing money, its easier to sell the mats.

    Under cutting is the biggest problem and is enough to unmotivate anyone.

    Edit:- What with the addition of price history the under cuitting is going to get a whole lot worse and could end up with a spiral effect that makes certain items almost worthless.

    The upcomming HQ changes are based more on materials than chance, which personally I am all for, it means I have to go out and gather those HQ mats now.

    Knowing that I am going to get a HQ item actually makes me more likely to farm and craft.

    Wrong, if there were so few who crafted, why were there those who solely dedicated all their time to doing this? This time last year I saw nothing but the streets flooded with crafters. Once these changes came along to streamline it, and Yoshida stated that crafters are pretty much being put at the back seat regarding content, the numbers dropped. Like it or not there are some people who solely craft and enjoyed the system as is. I'm not much of a crafter myself but when I get into it I start going into what one of my friends calls a rage craft. Where you do nothing but sit there grinding away on a specific skill.

    Take Cooking for example, even if it's a virtually useless class right now due to the food yet to be overhauled I still enjoy leveling it. In a few days I went from 31 to 36 rage crafting and rather than focus on leveling or fighting, I wanted to craft.

    All these changes really did was make it so those who want to enjoy working on crafting now can't as they used to, and with the decrease in crafters around it makes those who don't really care about crafting be forced to take it up even if they don't want to.

    Well still you have no evidence that these people have stopped crafting because of these changes, as I said it could just be they have become bored of 1.19 and are taking a break or they have finally grown bored of the game in general.

    It could be that the under cutting is causing them not to craft anymore, I have given you multiple reason what could have caused these changes.

    Of course neither of use can be 100% certain, it is what it is though, as I said before though it doesn't concern me as I know people who can make me stuff or make it myself to some extent and I help people out as well, but I don't make and put items on the market wards because its not worth the effort when 15 other people are waiting to under cut me.

    what more proof than one that has all but one craft to cap telling you why they and many others that have multiple 50's quit? i stopped for the reasons i gave. i craft for myself. you wanted the crafting changes so you can make your items for yourself.

    i can tell you FOR SURE why i stopped, but you can GUESS why others did. i quit doing it for the same reason many others have stated they did. you are welcome to deny it all you want, but it is a fact.
