Its my account it belongs to me and he was posting for a couple of seconds to type to that person just now no rules on me letting him type on my keyboard.

Let me write out what the argument here is plainly:

Parsing is bad because it is against the terms of service, no matter its use it should be banned: using another's account is against terms of service, regardless of the consent of the account holder, and should be banned.

As both of these are arguments purely within the word of the law, it is logically inconsistent to hold the view that the former is true, and the latter is false is the point HyoMin, Bourne, and I are making.

As has been said multiple times by posters who have been in Eorzea for a couple years, literally nobody here in this thread is advocating that players, whether they be DPS, healer, or tank, be a god at this game. But I cannot for the life of me understand why, if casuals go into any high-end duty content, they won't look for areas of improvement? Why stay mediocre and drag on a fight (and believe me, a mediocre player does make a difference...that initial month against O1S when you didn't outgear him like we can now, a lot of groups needed every DPS they could squeeze out to avoid hitting enrage at 5%).

Here's my argument with what you just said - by the time you start hitting savage content, if you cannot execute your rotation while dodging the very obvious AOE markers that do show up in these fights (the ones that you have more than enough time to get out of the way of), then don't come into Savage and expect players to tolerate it. This is not so much about casuals in this game - I'm fine with that, because casuals have made FFXIV successful. However, while I don't expect perfection, I do expect a decent level of competence in Savage. By the by, essentially all of my clears on Savage and EX have come from random PUGs - and I clear a majority of the time without the anti-parser drama that I'm starting to think isn't as prevalent as some of these posters are trying to make it seem.

I never said you had to carry them, read better, that should be something you know how to do before even being good at savage content.

It really isn't. The time it does happen, they just happen to meet the jerks that are using parsers and probably not pulling their own weight hence the harassment.

yes He said it was my account when he was posting and that he had a 70 and he knows for a second, I could of typed it for him but I let him do it, I did not move from my chair.

No one get what I mean. Let's say that we have a Dragoon being harrased on a savage content, and the average to get as DRG is 1000 dps (just an exemple as Gleipni did). Let's imagine the Dragoon is doing 1200 (so 20% above what's expected) but his 3 other dps are doing 60% more than what is needed/expected from their classes. And they flame the dragoon for not being as good. That's all I'm saying. If you're good enough to clear the content (if all players was of your level of skill in the game) why should you improve that much to please random perfectionnists who are not even your friends or in your static?

Stop saying I say they should remain bad, come to savage content made for not casual players and that we should carry them.

But in OP's case, she was doing barely enough. The WAR in the group was 2nd in dps. If every single dps performed at her level, they would have hit enrage and not be able to clear the content. Not saying it's okay to harass people but it shouldn't be a crime to tell people how they really did. Tanks and Healers will get called out if they messed up because it's easy to spot when they make a mistake or underperfom but why can't we hold DPS accountable? Best way to do it is by looking at the dps numbers because they are DPS classes.

Pro-parsers are the toxic people. They're the ones that ignore arguments against their position. Remember the narrative people, and forget this example of someone with blatant logical inconsistencies who, instead of addressing them, sidesteps them.

Probably not the best thing to do. Since you are so against harassment, you probably shouldn’t go off and harass someone on your server over a simple forum discussion because you disagree with them.

You can’t tell someone their opinions are wrong, by the way. Trying to use them as facts and a factual basis to fuel an argument? Maybe. But just stating them as such? No.
