The fact that you have a "must have" mount locked behind an additional paywall is already an issue. Why do people have to get crushed before they realized the sky fell?
So you think that SE is hurting so bad they need to pay someone to make exclusive items that cost over a normal sub? Are you serious? There are F2p games that are more reasonable than that. And how much does it cost to operate FFXIV on a daily basis because I don't have a clue. I'm telling you want was told to us 4 years ago when Mog Station first came about. Now the question for everyone is, would you accept a sub price increase to do away with cash shops or leave it as is?
Don't forget having to pay companies to actually produce statues, collector edition items, CD and Bluray music disc, books, etc...
I intentionally left out most things that were not directly contributing to the creation and constant maintenance of the game. But if I already brought that up, working with experts to help fend off the DDoS attacks we suffered from recently. That also costs money (an unplanned expense to boot, mind) and is required for the game to actually function. It's not hard to come up with things these carbies are helping to pay off.
Do these F2P games need to deal with the same amount of active players/characters? Do they offer the same amount of immediately available storage? Armory chest space? Mount/minion/orchestrion logs storage? Because if they operate on a lower scale, of course they'll be able to charge less.
I am not even being hyperbolic here. If you want to win people over with this, you need to start offering numbers.

Please note I used quotation marks because it's subjective from person to person. I'm sure a lot of people didn't buy Slepnir or Fat Moogle Bungle mount nor did they purchase emotes or gear from the shop.
Has anyone got a video of the emote? Preferably on a FemRoe?
You sound so ridiculously entitledYep putting my hands over my eyes and going "lalalalala" whenever I hear a mount whistle totally makes it so that the mog station isn't being rubbed in my face! 100% completely ignored! It's like there isn't over $1000 worth of content gated away from me!
I can also just color my chocobo blue and name it "carbuncle" for my carbuncle themed character and FC and House and... Wait... no... that's not how that works at all...
And yes "this boils down" to me being angry that once again my gameplay experience is valued less than someone who could play this game on a spreadsheet and have fun. I'd like to see you restrict yourself to "base game" level 50 content and try to have fun while everyone else has fun with the full game around you. 'Cause no amount of fussing over my opinion is going to stop me from, sometime in the future, determining that this game costs more than its worth.
You do realize that the vast majority of items in the Cash shop were at one point available in-game, right? Insinuating that all 183 items are all content designed exclusively for the cash shop is incorrect.
As for your signature, you're way too upset about this. Maybe you should take a few steps back to simmer down. Don't like the cash shop? Then don't buy from it. It's that simple. It isn't going away, and it's not some doom-and-gloom premonition about the game becoming P2W or whatever. It's vanity. Yes, even the outfits with the "stats" on them. Because unless those carby outfits are going to get people Savage or Ultimate clears, they can hardly be called "paying to win" anything.
Reading the post above me: good lord. Just take several steps back from the PC now, please. You are way too upset over this.
