What if minmaxing and pushing the every single number out of the character/comp/whatever is fun for someone? Are they having fun wrong?

Figure out how you rank from casual to hc or something inbetween, and find likeminded individuals. That is the reason why people do the extensive interviews, to find best matching people to your group, since groups are way smaller than what they were in wow. If you are in a static that kicks from slightest mistakes or something (sounds more like a trial for a more serious static if you ask me), they probably were not the right match for you. Remember, static trials are not just to see if you are good enough for the team, its also a trial for the team if they are good for you! As for the streamer bit, I'm going to say no, cause even before twitch, there have been more HC people around, and those that emulate them thinking it will make them magically better, even if they just don't have the skill for it. Streaming might have made it more widespread, but it has always been around.

Which is why it is both good and bad. It would shake some people's imaginations of themselves though :3.
