Yes, but not the way you think you are.
Just like you're doing right now, by threatening people and acting all self-entitled and superior, right?
No, you don't want it for the good of the game. You want it for the good of YOUR game.
For someone who's a mentor on an MMORPG you seem to forget there's more people in this game, whose value/ opinion/right to have preferances is not bigger nor lesser than yours.
And as I said earlier, this is coming from someone who hates Aurum Vale just as much as you, just for different reasons.

The dropping the dungeon part isn't what I'd consider harassment. It's a purposeful poor treatment of new players as a mentor. Granted, that is situational depending on the presence of both the mentor and a player who needs the specific dungeon in the party, but in those cases why would that player deserve mentor status? Why would they deserve the perks that go along with that status? And why should it not be possible to send in a report stating that they are purposefully making gameplay harder for new players trying to progress? They don't have to do content they don't want to, true, but they also don't need to queue for content they don't plan on running either.
I'm also not saying that I'd report them on any and every instance of this I see. I'm saying that they can and should eventually be reported if they choose to continue this behavior. Choosing to label yourself as a mentor gives others a certain expectation of what you should do and how you should act that is above and beyond the standards placed on other players. That may not seem fair to you, but it is the way it is. The devs didn't choose the word 'mentor' for no reason.
Of course, my reasoning could be colored by how this person is acting in this thread; I wasn't there to see how everything went down in-game.
I don't understand what you mean by players being resistant to talk. The op of this thread clearly stated their intent to leave before doing so, in their account of the event. As for them not being required to do things they don't want to, I agree with you, but see my above response. Turning on mentor status essentially communicates to other players, "I am willing to help by doing this thing." If you are not actually willing, and you queue for it anyways and then drop, don't expect sympathy from others who will have expected you to live up to the expectation you gave them. (General you, of course.)All I see is you giving reasons why people are resistant to talk in anything. You can't force someone to do something or play something they do not want to do. If a healer is being abused by a troll group and leaves, are you going to report the healer for leaving because they are a healer?
Do note dropping out of dungeons like that is not something I would do, but I understand why some may want to. In the end of things what I said is how GMs look at it, it isn't harassment.

What an exemplary display of etiquette, fit for a mentor such as yourself.
Excuse me, did you just compare playing a dungeon you dislike in an internet video game with the act of literally taking your own life? Are you actually out of your mind?
Oh, please forgive me. I completely forgot that I should be thanking you for allowing a simple peasant like myself to play a game meant only for your enjoyment. Please accept my humblest apologies, your Highness.
Sorry Princess, but if you've got the crown on, you should be focusing on helping new players out. That means playing dungeons you don't enjoy, so suck it up, buttercup or take off the crown.
Actually, that's exactly what you, yourself, agreed to do the instant you put on the Mentor crown. You made the decision to become a Mentor and to help teach and guide new players. That includes guiding them through dungeons you don't like or "have fun" in.
Holy moly, did you see that everyone?! If they don't fix a dungeon that's been in the game since 1.0 and in it's current form since 2.0 then this game is going to literally die out because it's unfun. Quick! Somebody light the Yoshi-P Signal and let him know!!
Also get over yourself. It sounds like you've already "reverse pulled" your own head up your backside and are so enamored with the scent of your own flatulence that you actually believe that you're god's gift to the world. But you're not. You're just a sad, sorry, pitiful person on the internet.
FYI there is a post limit and you can edit your original comment past the 1000 character limit.Holy moly, did you see that everyone?!
