A V is annoying...but can be fun..and very educational. In any case... I tough it out..and I follow through. I DON'T QUIT...unless i have no choice and even then I refuse to leave. If i commit to a roulette..I stay until the bloody end.
You know...I actually have to agree with you there. Don't really care for AV...but I still find it fun. My biggest gripe is like with most people here that people moan and groan about it and quit within 5 seconds of the dungeon being up.

If I get this one during leveling roulette...usually I'll tough it out. I only bail if it become painfully obvious that the group will not be able to clear...which isn't all that often

I love Ala Mhigo and Doma Castle because my Bard and Black mage's dps is off the charts and the runs are so easy to me and I get compliments every time I run them not so with Aurum Vale. Like one post said make it (Aurum Vale) a level 50 to give us more powers to make it enjoyable to play.

No excuse for being a poor mentor.

    I enjoy AV.
I don't enjoy every dungeon, but it's a roulette... I accept that I will eventually land in a dungeon I don't particularly care for and run it regardless because it is what the roulette selected.

Gonna be honest... I don't mind AV. It's only that first room that gives me issue. I hate Dzemeal Darkhold far more...

I still hate that people leave right away if you get it or leave if you have a newbie. Had one run where I had a new tank. The healer left immidently. When we got a new healer I helped the tank through, got to first boss. Explained the fruits but tank spaced out and we wiped. Tank said sorry... But then second healer left... then the dps did. Had to wait AGAIN then finally got two others who we all helped the tank.

I don't mind Aurum Vale myself. That first room seems to give people the most trouble. Is LoS pulling not a thing anymore? Or does it just not work in this game? I honestly don't see anyone doing it no matter the dungeon. Also I dislike Darkhold and Sunken Temple a LOT more than Aurum. But I still stick with whatever dungeon they give me.

Aurum Vale is fine, has the same chance of being cleared in about 18-25 mins just like the others. The only thing that needs to change is steps for trial roulette. No one goes in a trial roulette expecting a 10 minute run.

If you do this in my presence? Id report your ass....because your a mentor. Disruption of a game is prohibited under ToS. Mentors are supposed to teach...not play favorites.
If your not going to teach....get out. And stay out. Take the badge off..do as you pelase within reason....you put it on and play games like that? Expect trouble.
That is not how the report function works, they will just tell you that is what the penalty is for.

To be honest though, this is a mentor abusing their role. IMO that's what should be reported. I can't say that I'd take the time to report every random who drops because though it's a selfish move, it's still trivial, but if that person has the crown why not report them for trolling newer players which would be an example of harassment. If they didn't want to mentor or at least be respectful then don't wear that crown.

I wouldn't say dropping out of a dungeon is harassment. Everyone has the choice to leave a dungeon and eat a penalty if they want to.

Now, with that said, it's incredibly poor behavior, especially for a mentor. I wouldn't say it's a reportable offense though.

The dropping the dungeon part isn't what I'd consider harassment. It's a purposeful poor treatment of new players as a mentor. Granted, that is situational depending on the presence of both the mentor and a player who needs the specific dungeon in the party, but in those cases why would that player deserve mentor status? Why would they deserve the perks that go along with that status? And why should it not be possible to send in a report stating that they are purposefully making gameplay harder for new players trying to progress? They don't have to do content they don't want to, true, but they also don't need to queue for content they don't plan on running either.

I'm also not saying that I'd report them on any and every instance of this I see. I'm saying that they can and should eventually be reported if they choose to continue this behavior. Choosing to label yourself as a mentor gives others a certain expectation of what you should do and how you should act that is above and beyond the standards placed on other players. That may not seem fair to you, but it is the way it is. The devs didn't choose the word 'mentor' for no reason.

Of course, my reasoning could be colored by how this person is acting in this thread; I wasn't there to see how everything went down in-game.

Do note dropping out of dungeons like that is not something I would do, but I understand why some may want to. In the end of things what I said is how GMs look at it, it isn't harassment.
I don't understand what you mean by players being resistant to talk. The op of this thread clearly stated their intent to leave before doing so, in their account of the event. As for them not being required to do things they don't want to, I agree with you, but see my above response. Turning on mentor status essentially communicates to other players, "I am willing to help by doing this thing." If you are not actually willing, and you queue for it anyways and then drop, don't expect sympathy from others who will have expected you to live up to the expectation you gave them. (General you, of course.)
