    So......we get to use up MP continuously and we have one new means of regenerating MP instead of Featherfoot.. Awesome?

    PGL WS 8

    Melee attack. Chance to absorb MP when executed from the right or left of the target.Combo: PGL WS 5, Bonus: Chance to increase Absorb MP effect.

    Hopefully that chance is pretty decent, sounds like we're going to be using a lot more MP.

    Chances are the MP WS will be weak as shit damage wise, not to mention the WS only has a chance to absorb MP. With more than half of PGL/MNK abilities costing MP we can probably forget about ever playing PGL/MNK as a DD in a party.

    PGL was my favorite class when I started the game and I've been looking forward to playing MNK ever since the jobs were announced. I don't want to play either anymore.

    Taking a look at Brd Mag. 1, and all the other Pgl/Mnk combo WS that require different directions, I kinda get the feeling that Pgl/Mnk will be more than viable in party play. Now, solo, that will suck. And that makes me sad.

    Really? Look at PGL now. It's been getting worse an worse with every patch. MP costs on normal attacks, ridiculous CDs and/or requirements for our only good WS's, closest range of all DD classes. It would have been nice if we were compensated with incredible damage compared to other DD classes, which might happen considering the "explosive damage" they mentioned. But I just don't see it.

    LNC/DRG seems to be the most powerful of all classes, plus they get range advantage.

    Overall, I'm very happy with the direction of the game. However, Yoshi P's decisions regarding PGL and MNK are by far the worst he's been making. I'll still try the class/job out, but I really don't think I'll be playing it regularly anymore. What a shame.

    Your argument is rock-solid.

    PGL has not much to do with magic attacks as of 1.19. Yet their stats are tuned with magic attacks in mind.

    Of course it was going to get weaker before they received the actions the stats were tuned for. Same goes for ARC.

    I am very disappointed too. I didn't choose PGL as my main class with magic in mind. It was the one class that (initially) seemed as far away from being a magic user as I could get, and also used to be a great DD and decent tank. I am really losing interest in the class as a whole because the reasons I selected it really aren't there.

    We'll see once it goes live, but at least based on the dev notes, I'm not happy about these changes.

    Well CNJ and THM have some abilities/spells that aren't exclusive that may help:

    CON Abl. 2 --- Temporarily halves enmity and gradually restores MP.
    THM Mag. 2 --- Restores MP in proportion to damage sustained. Casts cannot be interrupted while effect is active.

    Also BRD has an AoE MP regen (Mages Ballad)

    They may bump the MP pool up, too. Just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
