Look down the 75% doesn't say major changes, it says an OVERHAUL to fundamental aspects.

Sorry, but the majority of people didn't answer because its vague they answered because they want an overhaul.

EDIT: Look down even further 85% would accept rule altering changes.

did the question say do you want to remove the armory system and go to the xi subjob system? did it say get rid of everything and go to being exactly like wow? did it say add tons of content so people have things to do? did it say gear the game towards a more solo or group type play? overhaul means many things and people did not all have the same idea of which overhaul they want to do.

some people just wanted crafting overhauled to be more streamlined. i wanted the content overhauled to become more fun. some wanted battle classes overhauled. some wanted armory system overhauled. there are many types of overhauls that are available and just because most wanted overhaul does not mean they want everything destroyed and completely different. it may have been just a few things they wanted changed to make it more enjoyable for them.

in these scenarios yes overhaul is a very vague question without having any specific things to be overhauled.

Definition of fundamental: serving as a basis supporting existence or determining essential structure or function.

That pretty much means everything, and like I said if you look further down a whopping 85% said they would accept rule altering changes. The rules would be the defining features: combat, crafting, content etc...

I know you love the game how it is and that's fine your entitled to your opinion.

I also agree that you aren't alone, others love how it is also.

Unfortunately the majority of people don't and that's what the polls are for, to get a general idea of what people want to see done and changed. All we know is that a large amount want massive change, if they didn't Tanaka would still be in charge.

Just a wild guess: that self-proclaimed Mog Doctor just realized
that if the rules of Eorzea are fundamentally changed, it will
endanger the advantage he/she gained by mindlessly grinding
through a game almost noone else could bear to play for more
than a few hours per week.

Hint: Sometimes life is fair, and mindlessness is not rewarded.

Dr. Mog is a pioneer of the game.. I am just as jealous as you are Rinsui of Mog's Ranks.. but I atleast know it wasnt mindless grinding, but rather having a full dedicated LS that is organized and lead correctly. Him along with his LS constantly update information for the community on other sites. His input holds more value then most not because he cares to have an advantage over other people, but rather because hes done it all.. He knows and understands the game more then the trolls and "jumping" sheep in these forums. I for one agree with him.. it will be a shame to have this game turn into a clone of WoW.. The game needs change.. but it does not need to be "rehauled".. and those that are still playing.. enjoy the game.. otherwise they wouldnt play. We need more people who actually know the ins and the outs of the game to speak out and give their opinions.. but either way.. trolls will be trolls

Im not even in Mog's server nor ever talked to the guy.. and I value his opinion more then most
