Well, not really. But the point is that there are a LOT of us who like the game as it stands and I wanted to be a small voice for the community of players who enjoy the games current mechanics (which need tweaking but NOT an overhaul)

So, SquareEnix, for every person posting here their ideas that would take a ton of work and an overhaul of a system in the game, there are just as many of us that are happy with the game as it is and just want to see more content.

As I have said before, and I will say again, only those unhappy with something tend to speak out. Those happy with how things are remain silent. (as are things in life)

Here on your forums you will get opinions from those unhappy with things, so please don't forget about the rest of us who like how things are! (for the most part XD) Don't change directions, don't lose focus, and don't copy everyone else just to try and appease everyone. In the end you will lose what you were aiming for and it will go to hell anyway.

OK i tried not to talk to bad about indivisuals in these forums but wtf is wrong with u the game as is is a freakin tragedy are you blind this thread was ment to be a joke i guess. Thank goodness your post will most likely be completely ignored by the devo team if they value making money lol

This game in this state is awful and I think you are blind to it and the direction this game is going. You guys are gonna be in for a rude awakening when this turns into a streamlined, WoW clone.

Im not fooling you, either. Naoki Yoshida has praised WoW, compared this game to WoW and even said he wants to implement things that WoW has.

It's only a matter of time before the minority QQs their faces off over a WoW clone.

i'm going to laugh if it does become a wow clone. i bet that's not the overhaul people had in mind when they voted for it. that was my exact statement of there are many meanings when overhaul is mentioned of what direction they wish to take it.

Sorry OP, but if SE keeps the game as is, the game will continue to fail. The people who are satisfied with the game as is are vastly outnumbered by the amount of potential customers who would play the game if things were different.

Keep in mind that the goal is for SE to release the game on the PS3 and get killer reviews so they can start charging us to play.

agree'd i highly doubt that they would want to following the footsteps of wow instead of implementing aspects of there older brother game ffxi. seriously if they try to implement aspects of wow instead of what they should ffxi this game will just have a awkward quick death that will leave a bad bad taste in the mouth of SE and ff fans that wont be forgotten, and add mr. yoshida name to that as well ppl will avoid that game if the name is on it... i'm pretty sure SE is a company that knows better than to try something like that, you know what the fans want all all that left is to do it..

Man get mad if you want but if they did improve on the ffxi formula with a new world,story, improved visuals and some extra's, they would grab the current and former xi playerbase and thoes were very very loyal players for a very very long time you cant go wrong there...

"A lot" is a very fuzzy phrase. In reality, for every 1 person that is ok with the game as it is now, there's 5+ others that are not. These are numbers posted by SE themselves.

Been here since the first Alpha and it has improved a lot!! I can understand people not being happy with it but for those who are we shouldn't be made to feel we cant. The game does need work, content being one the main things for me. I will see it out and feel quite happy to carry on, i have done all i could with FFXI. The game does need help but i have had a lot of pleasure over 12 months and reading half of the other topics about swimming, jumping and pvp for me isn't FF...as the other poster said it doesn't need a massive overhaul.

Square-Enix is so adamant on making XIV that unique to FFXI that they're losing out on a lot of the beautiful things that made FFXI a complete success. FFXIV is FFXI's successor, Square seem to forget this fact. It's ok to borrow and copy little area's.. A delivery box.. Class names.. And AH..

I don't even think SE need to make FFXI-2.. I just think they have to accept that an MMO that ran for 8 years and is STILL running can be of a great benefit to the game at hand considering most of us are ex-XI players
