Err, I should of worded that better. I mean, keep the Elezen we have now but add more body types/sliders (like keep everyone's body right now as 'Average' and then add more) so maybe I can make an Elezen character look decent
in my honest opinion. I think Elezen don't look great and I wouldn't play them for their weird proportions. I can accept people like them as they are + adding more features to make them bearable for me and the many other players who actively avoid them due to the strange proportions.

I gave only a few examples with what I would like to see changed due to word count and not wanting to overwhelm people. My opinions on the character creator are vast!
I wish Au Ra would of been taken in the same direction of Midlander/Highlander where Raen Men/Women remain smaller and more delicate and Xeala Men/Women are muscular and tall.
I would also like to see Viera because with the upsetting height of Au Ra women and the lack of an anthro race over 5'3" and the major backlash I've heard for that is that they will have to redo all of the shoes in the game (and hell, they might already be working on that)
I don't think female Au Ra look great either. Rather than this being caused by S-E designing one of the races poorly, though, maybe it's just that we both have completely different taste?in my honest opinion. More faces are fine. Good. But changing the very definition of my character's racial quirks to fit your personal aesthetic ideals is not so fine.
As i've already stated in this thread. Why not both? keep Elezen we have now and add options to change their body type. Because I don't think Elezen would lose their flare their 'it' factor if they added a body type with more hips/stomach (or an option to narrow in the shoulders. But that's just me). If you wanna keep the original look, go for it. But considering how widely disliked they are, more features could improve that. Muchless this isn't only directed at Elezen. Also I agree with you on Au Ra (see the post above)

What is being suggested for Elezen effectively amounts to 'let's add a cute version of Elezen but keep the ugly type so the freaks who think they look ok can continue to play them', and while this is certainly a lot better than the 'let's change all Elezen because they all look gross' threads which pop up now and again, it still means dividing the people who play Elezen and pressuring those who like the current type to conform to narrow aesthetic sensibilities or look even more out of place. I think we look cool as we are.Why not both? keep Elezen we have now and add options to change their body type. Also, I don't think it's fair to single out Elezen (I know you're trying to avoid that now, but it's already been done) just because they aren't popular picks and this always happens, even though we had a boost in popularity after HW when they got some decent representation in the story - still waiting for Duskwights to be game-relevant one day, S-E. Sure, it's logical to infer that the reason they aren't popular is because they are ugly to a certain slice of the playerbase, but not every race is ever going to be as popular as cute dragon girls or cat girls. Do they all have to be equivalently popular? Many people only play the game in the first place because they have an option that meets their tastes. We already have options for playing characters who are cuter or beefier or smaller...
A lot of the justification for criticising Elezen seems to be from people playing popular races who say they might try an Elezen if Elezen were better. Why do we have to change to suit you? You already have a race you chose to play.

I agree, forcibly changing the race would be bad. Giving us body options would go a long way towards moving elezen away from being one of the very least popular pointy eared races in any mmo.
I would actually consider playing one if they didn't run like a Fantasia broom and have the anatomy of savannah wildlife
If you don't like how Elezen look, why contemplate fantaing to an Elezen? They're not for you. Thats ok. They don't all have to be for everyone.I agree, forcibly changing the race would be bad. Elezen are beanpoles. Thats arguably their most defining trait. Take away the lankiness and you are left with a hyur with long ears. Saying you'd want to be an Elezen if they weren't Elezen-like is as dumb as me saying, “man, I sure would love playing a lala if they were tall, scaly, and muscular” when I could instead play a race that fits an aesthetic I actually like.
