Instead of asking for the option to completely ignore what makes Elezen "Elezen", how about you come to terms with the fact that its not for you and stop trying to "Fix it".

Which is to say, a human with pointy ears. But Elezen aren't human. And Like Roegadyns and Lalafells, we don't have human proportions. And that is perfectly alright. Not everything has to look like a cosplaying Hyur.

A lot of the justification for criticising Elezen seems to be from people playing popular races who say they might try an Elezen if Elezen were better. Why do we have to change to suit you? You already have a race you chose to play.

This. Play the race you already like, and stop trying to "fix" us.

Yes, it would. Because they wouldn't be Elezen anymore. That'd be like me saying "making Lalafell tall and thin wouldn't take away anything from them being Lalafells". Your changing the core fundamentals of the races design.

PLEASE CHECK BACK IN NOVEMBER.' but in the previous one, which is still not 100% accurate, Elezen still outnumber their Roegadyn equivalents. Yet people don't say that's because Roegadyn are ugly/disproportionate/not like Tolkein dwarves/whatever other excuse. It's just accepted as a thing; more FF players are likely to pick prettier characters than want to pick rugged ones. With Elezen, people seem to have this preconception about what they're supposed to be and constantly snipe at the designs for not living up to that. It happens often. It's tiresome.

Agreed. I'm also sick of the "Well not alot of people play them, so clearly somethings wrong with them!" shtick that people always fall back on, as if comparing us to Catgirls is at all fair. The census doesn't matter because at the end of the day who cares if we aren't the most popular race. That's why there are different races. If you don't like one, you have the choice to play a different one that fits you. Because at the end of the day, not everything has to fit everyone. Less homogenization please.

Using data which shows a majority of the playerbase is running around as catgirls and demon-lizards isn't evidence that Elezen, Highlanders or Roes need a rework to be more cute. I would wager many actually prefer the above to the horribly generic Miqo'te and Au Ra, but simply lack the time, patience or ability to make a nice one in Character Creator.

Pretty tired of generic waifus making threads asking for Elezen and Highlanders in particular to be changed, or in this thread singling Elezen out for being "unattractive". Despite you know, many people thinking that they are very attractive just the way they are. I don't think anyone is saying no to more body types, but asking for sliders to get rid of broad shoulders and long necks is obnoxious.

between this and glamour it's really sad to see everyone looking pretty much the same. I wish they updated the character creation choices

Other races have features that take up the "customization slot" within the character creation.

Hyur:
-More faces
-Muscle slider

Elezen:
-Ear type
-Ear Slider
-Ear Clasps

This was my original idea, giving everyone a set of four bodies (Average (the ones we have currently), Musuclar, Thin, Overweight) or just more sliders to balance out proportions people may or may not like. Its the same reason they have a bust slider, Some people might not want huge boobs.

More scale options would also be super awesome, especially considering how the beta design looked with the Au Ra covered in scales (also Au Ra faces separate from horns/face scales)

I don't know if you're directing that at me, but I never stated that Highlanders/Roe need to be changed. infact. I love their models. They fit what they were going for, Muscular and large.

My major issue is that square was trying to go for the elegant, tall, beautiful race with Elezen

(atleast from the concept art) but they just ended up being weirdly proportioned and more like the FFXI race. to be honest, a slightly bigger head/narrower shoulders is all it would take to make them look more anatomically correct (to me atleast, since everyone shares different opinions on this and im really trying not to attack anyone)

Not necessarily directed at you, as it's a common theme to lump Elezen, Highlander and Roe together, as the least played races, and suggest they need changes to fix an individual's personal definition of cute. Usually said individuals play Miqo'te and Au Ra, two generic races that are so ubiquitous and dull they are almost invisible.

That said, I think Elezen are perfectly proportioned, perhaps even the most attractive race. Similarly, Elvaan were among the most attractive in XI.

You clearly don't share this opinion, and that's ok. For you, there's choices in other races. Elezen shouldn't be changed just to suit and diversity/variety should be encouraged.
