    New Feature, FC created dungeons

    Allow FCs with 100+ unique accounts to create dungeons. (There's probably not enough space for single players to create them)

    It can be just like housing and could allow certain housing furnishings to be used as well. Obviously these would be limited to like about 20 min long dungeons (space constraints and what have you not). and maybe puzzles could be added like hidden levers and what have you not. The bosses could be copy pastes from already created bosses.

    This could also unlock like monster breeding and stimulate the economy with housing items and monster breeding materials.

    Anyway, player based content is known to keep subscriber bases active during content drought time.

    This would honestly monopolize FCs to where everyone wanting to do this would end up forced to join one of the few larger FCs on the server. To remedy that: simply make it a feature a FC must unlock somehow and can then use no matter how many members they have, kind of like going to Diadem via FC airship.

    This, this made me giggle more than it should.

    I like the idea though I question if they have the infrastructure to make it happen. The poor server hamsters seem awfully taxed as it is. Hmm, maybe if they breed some mutant monster hamsters...

    I wouldn't restrict it to FC size honestly. Instead just bring over Neverwinter's system where anyone can make instances and have them be moderated before being posted. Oh course it would /definitely/ require better servers.

    There are problems with these types of dungeons. Players have no incentive to make them not easy, especially if rewards exist. You run the risk of making them quicker to complete and more lucrative than roulletes and other public content.

    Which is why you wouldn't give them rewards worth abusing the system for, if any. This kind of thing is something you'd do with your FC because you want to, not for any sort of reward since, as you said, we have roulettes for that. Hell, you could even set up dungeons for the sake of training members for harder content!

    This type of thing seems interesting on paper, but unless there's a reward for it, people won't do it.

    FFXI tried it already with MMM, which was only ever really used for grinding EXP.

    Sadly, This one line is how MMOs have been devolving to for a long time now.
    Reason we don't have long dungeon crawls anymore is that people just want the biggest reward in the shortest possible time.
    I loved the old school method of dungeons, where mob packs needed kill orders, Crowd Control Assignments, interrupt chains and could call for backup if allowed to do a runner. For me, the pleasure was in the run, not whatever RNGesus decided to drop at the end.
    But i seem to be a minority in MMOs these days. I still think POTD should have been randomly generated puzzle dungeons instead of the abomination we got.

    This sounds a lot like the dungeons that guilds could get into if they owned a castle after the WoE in RO....just you create the dungeon instead of it being a pre-made thing that you get access to for the week if you were lucky enough to survive the war with a castle in your possession.

    This is very similar to one of the updates applied to the now long gone City of Heroes MMORPG. Whilst a great idea at the outset it soon became seen as one of the quickest ways to level XP and so the game as a whole suffered.

    To be honest though I think there are far more than enough dungeons in FFXIV as it is right now for people to remember what to do and when in order to avoid wipes. Also the player created content would have to be monitored somehow and that all costs - adding in an editor would probably be far, far too enpensive.
