No, but if he says he wants to see all the lore, cutscenes are usually included :P Which is why I mentioned them.

It also said it was his first time getting the pathway that had 3 short pieces of text to read through, which makes it pretty clear they'd run the dungeon already and weren't stopping to watch cutscenes.
