Body Hair for males.

::-DISCLAIMER-:: First off please note I DO support body hair for both genders. BUT this thread is specifically made for males. If you so wish to make one for females, by all means do so and I will come in and show my support! I am NOT a misogynist. So please leave your hate at the door. Thank you.

Sorry for that, but I don't want the same crap from the beta forums so yeah... onwards!

It seems to me that a lack of body hair is indeed a thing that, for the most part, is very unnoticeable by some, but not by all.

Personally, I feel like a 10-12yr boy without the option. This should be(magic word) OPTIONAL for anyone who wishes to add it to their character.

From what I've gathered through my thread on the beta forums, it seems the majority was in agreement:

Body hair should be for:
Hyur Midlanders & Highlanders
Roegadyn
Miqo'te

To clarify I am in full support of Lalafell/Elezen Body hair for males as well! I just didn't see enough feedback back on the beta forums to warrant them on this list. But yes, if there is enough support out there for it, by all means SE can we get body hair on ALL males Thank you ^.^

Places it would show up would be chest/stomach/arms/possible underarms(if it's feasible).

And of course it should have a slider/thickness/number of options of some sort depending on the race which it will be applied.

THIS IS NOT a fetish request of any kind. It's simply part of the anatomy of ones self. And this one self feels like it should be a part of Eorzea's anatomy. So show your support! Males need to look like males! Not everyone in the world is shaved/bald/waxed! It's just not acceptable in the entire world to only be those three options.

Yes first off I know that SE have others things to take care of, and it would be on their low priority list... that's fine just please eventually address/get to it.

Yes I know this is made by a Japanese company and how the Japanese anatomy works... BUT guess what? It's ported to so many different countries around the world! So appeal to other customers too please!

So please SE, could this be possible for us males, who want to look... somewhat more maleish? Maybe through the beauty/barber shop? Phial of Fantasia? Any answer yes or no would be great! Just an answer period!

So after about a year. Finally get an answer, and it's not a flat out no!

We're looking into this, but body hair would be a completely new element, and there is a possibility that it would affect some gear designs. We expect adding body hair will take a lot of work, so for now we'd like to prioritize adding new hairstyles that are being requested.

Seriously though. They're limiting the amounts of beard choices for that very reason.

And you want a body hair slider.

Not everything is about leveling and going into dungeons. Sometimes I like having social time with people in my swimwear that SE has so generously provided. Some of us like acting crazy and fun and doing silly things like go on the beach as an LS and just socialize, talk about stuff, even strategize! And how do you know? You work for SE? You're part of the Dev team?

Honestly it would probably just require a texture change for base bodies. No more a memory hog than legacy tattoos.
I probably wouldn't use it though. My character is the peak of design just as he is.
