As a person who does sell end-game content regularly, the people adamantly against it generally don't have full insight on the process.

    The buyer is always in-power.

If we don't deliver the content/loot they not only will not come back again, they'll tell everyone, their friends, FC, and what not. That can be a monumental hit to the business. Like eBay, one negative is enough to cause one to lose their entire selling business. No serious selling group will ever risk their reputation. So when content is offered, it is with trust and confidence. The players participating in the sale have had the content on-farm for awhile.

Believe it or not buyers aren't always people you think. Maybe it's just someone who really wants that doggie mount but has lost it so many times in PuG groups. Sometimes a request for savage page/chest runs is because they don't have time to wipe or raid every week.

You have more people who barely clear messing up farms. A buyer will generally buy their loot-and-scoot.
