And if they don't like how I pull....they can leave....because that's just how i feel about it. (Now if they ask to pull harder..ill pull harder...the key point here is...They asked for it...as a courtesy)
I'll take some credit for not being the kind of healer that would let these foolish tanks die...for their stupidity....because that's not the right thing to do...so I give it my best shot..in-spite of it.
Because its about the party as a whole..not about the tank. Exhausted or not....frustrated or not...I did my job..and we usually succeed...doesn't mean I have to like it...but I rest easy for it.

I play both healer and Tank, personally it varies on how a tank may gauge DPS and how people communicate. Example; lower elvers over pulls are really wanted in my server, newer content I tend to ask if I'm tanking before hand. Most of the time people are ok, yet my play style involves gauging and checking my teams gear. ( I rather have a smooth run than a difficult one ). Now with that being said not everyone has the same mentality and either blame the healer or tank, yet most of the time healers don't speak up. Most tanks will bite the bullet and do fewer pulls if asked to which I think has become the new standard.

As per healers that I've met they over panic and don't know how to use their cool downs, are under geared, and/or even know their actions which makes it really irritating.

I'm glad your flexible yet most people assume and we all know what that means.

My first was black mage....and it was a tough run....got as far as end of 4.0.

Then made a White Mage....loved it even more. - I've not used my black mage in a long time now - aside from glamouring...and I absolutely fell in love with it. - But sadly its going to sit there and collect dust unless I get someone that specifically requires a DPS and I wont have to wait 15-30 bloody minutes for a queue.

'Cept for Raid's...seems there's a shortage of DPS on that...weird.

But as a healer..I just love walking in on some random event and "stalker healing" people....its how I make lots of friends and get interesting reactions.

    ^_^

Lately however people ignore or just blindly go forth. Those who do acknowledge are paying attention...like you - and gauge how-much to pull. If a tank dies - well mostly I get yelled at or accused of being newbie - the irony being they didn't see my warning - and I call them out for it. Which gets ignored of course (people are just that utterly stupid).

I try to remember that its an all or nothing deal - all for the party - not for the one. I also try to give everyone the benefit of a doubt - until it becomes an obvious "rar-grr-youderpderp" - and it either results in said person getting kicked or a petition etc..etc.. - its sad when you are afraid to do a random dungeon pull being fearful of a bad experience because someone wants to speed run vs you just trying to get through the dungeon to learn how/when/where - and get some tomestones.

Like I've been saying - I want to enjoy this game - not be in fear of it because of someones opinion. - Thankfully I find like minded friends and we're forming our own groups. So I'll get it sorted soon enough.
By the way - if any of you fine gents/ladies are on Adamantoise? Hit me up - Love to hang out with you guys.

New favorite sport? - Stalking Newbies - they always get blown away on how they suddenly got full immunity in a FATE or something.

personally i do 6 mobs at a time if i can manage. Its easier to do at higher lvls however if there is ton of adds with low health i will pull more. I usually copy what i see other tanks doing.

That's pretty vague. What do you believe I should do differently?

I need to be able to guestimate how skilled the healer is in order to do my job well. How do you propose I support my party as a tank without getting a feel for the healers skill level? If I ignore a bad healer's skill. We will continually wipe because they won't be able to heal my pulls. If I ignore a good healers skill, we wont be able to capitalize on that as a party.

I don't mind big pulls.....I just hate the shitty tanks that pull like 3 sets of mobs and pop 1 CD for the entire thing.
