Are you sure about this? According to https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/mount...717.1497381225 it says "excluding free play periods"
Doesn't make it any better though, I never asked for any free time, just wanted to play on PS4 and get the mount...
Are you sure about this? According to https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/mount...717.1497381225 it says "excluding free play periods"There is literally no mention of free time hindering an already qualified account. Basically, any information regarding free time on their details of the campaign point that it is just ignored and does not count for anything. This is unfortunately requiring the attention of CMs or reps that actually are responsible for letting the JP branch know there's either a bug or misleading information on the site. It literally states that free play periods do not affect the campaign (i.e. it's an ignored variable) and mentions nothing that it will hinder qualified accounts.
Doesn't make it any better though, I never asked for any free time, just wanted to play on PS4 and get the mount...
Well, half the issue was anyone who happened to level an alt or take advantage of the transfer campaign that happened in tandem to Falcon Mount one found themselves suddenly ineligible as the gifted free play time would knock off the timing of month by month subbed players.
The biggest issue with that is while the Falcon campaign info specifically mentions free time doesn't count towards mount, the page does nothing to direct players to tell them about the methods we can earn free play time right now. Players wouldn't know they earned any until they had it already added to their account, so the only recourse was to buy a card to apply more play time, or lose out on the mount.
Worse still, is the only way to be 100% sure you qualified was if the Mogstation showed that you had been rewarded it, with the second rollout being after the cutoff.

Doesn't make it any better though, I never asked for any free time, just wanted to play on PS4 and get the mount...What I meant by that was it does not state it will negatively impact you, in this case "you" being someone that is already qualified. The references to free play periods state they are excluded, meaning they are not a part of the overall period of subscription paid and are simply an ignored variable to their determining if you are qualified. The details for these things generally follow simplified legal jargon and are often specific with word choice. Again, as there is no reference to free play periods hurting your already qualified account (it specifically states free play periods are not affecting their calculation of sub time), it's a matter that should not have happened at all. In the end, this is either CS agents being bad at their jobs by now refusing to give you the mount or the higher ups left out crucial details (thus requiring their attention).
EDIT: Oh wait I get it now. You are on monthly, right? Or perhaps your payment period ended somewhere between the campaign period after you bought SB. So that means thanks to the free game time, you didn't pay for a total of 90 days. I was under the assumption you were under longer sub payments, since the CS reps would have recognized your qualification if they told you the 90 days were met (i.e. paid for). This does sound like it's a matter of miscommunication on the CS folks end for a matter that is a bit of an outlier from common problems. CS didn't know about or understand the effects of free game period, deadline ends, CS would see you didn't pay the required period (thanks to the free game time), rules state you need to have paid, end of conversation sort of thing. It is definitely pretty damn sloppy handling.

I'm in the exact same boat as you OP. I've never unsubbed to this game ( since starting in 2.1 ) yet I didn't get the mount because of the free 15 days that were offered to leveling a character on the new/preferred servers. I wish the event had been handled better. More than a large chunk of people were screwed over by the exact same issue.
I should not have to buy time cards, when I never unsub to begin with, to be included in the new vet reward system. No one should have to.
My only hope is that they include it sooner rather than later to be purchased ingame with achievement currency since it was such a huge mess up.
I don't know how I feel still about this new vet reward system but this is not a very good first impression at all.
I'm ok with them keeping this format, but at least have support know what the hell they're doing, and have a visible clear way to know if/when you qualify for it. They do have a way to know that because the agent told me I qualified since 9/21 (which was wrong but whatever) so they could show it in the console.
Also cannot agree more with this. There NEEDS to be an incredibly transparent and visible marker/menu or something in game where you can check if you qualify for new upcoming campaigns. Not just for support staff but for players as well.

Weird. I transferred. But iv still got the mount.
But to be fair, my sub ended at a perfect time and a bought a 3 month sub specifically to make sure that I was getting it.
me and my gf had the same issue, we bought time via mog station around sept 25th. We thought we was qualified, but due to the mog station 90 days not taking effect till after our 10 day subs were done ot didn't count. we called SE to find this out. We also said complaints+ feedback stating when you switch over the time it doesn't say much about it not taking affect. Nor did the promo state to buy a time card.
my g/f was super bummed out because she loved the mount. It was like a by plane/motorcyle combo. She has been an SE customer since 2004 with ff11, and was a 1.0 vet.
What they should do is make playtime buyable on the mogstation shop, and able to gift it. This way you can pay up easier , or gift it to friends. Other mmo do this, and it would make doing these reward/promo much smoother. And it goes through right then and there instead of arbitrarily waiting.
pretty much the falcon mount was 1 of many rewards that are replacing the vet rewards.
this campaign was messy.

I actually did get my mount, but I completely see where the OP is coming from.
I have subbed since launch day in 1.0 and 2.0, paying for max intervals each time. Yet somehow I managed to only qualify with 2 days to spare due to when my sub was scheduled to renew. I missed the first phase completely even though I was on a 6 month (auto-renewing) sub. How does that even make sense as a customer.
When you read the details of the campaign, I fell into a loophole preventing me from obtaining the mount because my auto-sub had not taken a payment out yet, and as a consistently (auto-paying) paying customer I came within 2 days of not even getting the mount. If I had double purchased PS4/PC Stormblood like I did Heavensward, I would not have even qualified. That just doesn't make sense on a customer satisfaction point of view. I was basically encouraged NOT to buy a second copy of the game in order to meet the demands of a campaign designed to encourage long-term subscription.
I hope they do see this type of feedback and make changes in the future.

Here are two calendars showing how much days would two players accumulate depending on when they started to get their free 15 days:
The only way the player on the right would've been eligible for the mount was to do like you, or manually add 30 days early (before the end of the campain... so before his current sub actually expires).
This was a money grab, pure and simple. SE wanted you add time wether you needed it or not. I have had a continuous sub automatically renewed very 180 days since 1.0. With that in mind tell me when does free time take effect; when you earn it, at the end of the sub period. No Explanation there. I pay using Crysta of which I always have a sufficient amount on account to cover my normal sub needs. Sorry SE I was not willing to give you any more then that.
BTW How many people remembered to add in the 7 free days that SE gave us when the moved servers? How many people did that trip up?

I have a re-occuring 180 day sub and have been playing since Beta with no breaks, yet I have not recieved this Mount either, I am a little disgusted on how this campaign has been handled and how loyal long time players have been basically penalised for subbing long periods at a time.![]()
