I don't even do that content, so I literally don't even know what you're talking about lmfao. I only craft and do the MSQ as well as some odds and ends on the game. I have been saving up for a house for months with my husband, only to have it all be wasted.

What I mean is that you'll need to do Omega Savage in its entirety to do Ultimate Bahamut. That isn't exactly accessible.

While housing is broken, just because you saved up doesn't guarantee you a plot and asking around would have shown you that this was the expected outcome.

Two entirely different situations and honestly a bad comparison. With enough work, Ultimate is available to anyone. Not so housing as there simply aren't enough houses to go around.

If i was on a high population server, sure. Most of my FC was pretty confident that I'd be able to land something, but obviously this expansion drew on and KEPT more people on than the previous one.

Anyways, this is a broken system. I don't really know how you can defend SE for not doing anything about it for the playerbase, but you do you. Keep rubbing up against the company, I'm going elsewhere unless things change.

Ultimate will never be available to everyone outside of unsync much later because of the skill floor. To be entirely blunt, it's an apt comparison in this case because both require a dedicated effort and amount of time. In one it's to acquire the skills to even unlock it, in the other it's massive amounts of gil.

Again, housing is still broken, I'm not denying that, but there isn't a pretty and easy fix that the devs can just slap on and acting entitled to a house just because you logged in when hundreds and thousands of others did the same thing you did... Well. I think you see where this is going. It's not helping.

Ah, yes, the classic "if you're not 100% with me you're clearly the enemy" approach. Go calm down, take a deep breath, and reread where I've said MULTIPLE TIMES the system is broken before throwing accusations.

Same here. Me and my FC have been dearly in need of a house for crafting to help our new players and provide a place to stay. We spend almost a year saving up and planning. We even woke up early and pre-downloaded the patch before the servers went live. The moment we logged in, ALL the plots were gone...
This definitely left me feel heartbroken with a taste of unfairness from SE. Limited or not for servers to handle, a lot of mmos already do this without a problem in their infrastructure despite millions of players.
I have nothing to look forward now because most of my plans were to be working in housing crafting and garden farming. So I unsubbed, with a slap in the face.
Despite it all, I do not know when I will come back. I already unsubbed between the 2nd month of SB release until recently to prepare for housing.

It is not an apt comparison. If someone wants to do Ultimate, they can push for they and do it. It'll be tough, but it is available to everyone who really wants to do it. In housing, if there aren't any plots for sale, it doesn't matter how much you want it. You're not getting it.
