Reason why daad beat dp is all so enmity and hp return. Don't forget that.
Correct me if I'm wrong but qu manna return is based dmg you do so 50 dmg Inc make you get more manna in return reducing overall cost of da you. Use on daqu.

For optimizing in raids, DP or DADP will be a dps gain when there is an add near the boss. You use DP over DADP if you have a trick attack window coming up soon so that you have enough mana to fit as many DA into trick, like in O3S where the 4th trick comes out after the dragon dies. The only times you should use Quietus and AD is in dungeons or if you ever see ninja adds during O3S.
It's not sarcasm, I wouldn't use it on 2 enemies. You can still do more damage and have plenty of hate using DADP + PS combo at the start. AD does restore HP, you are correct.
Souleater will return more HP than a DAAD on 2 enemies.
How Steel Cyclone should look!
No, its MP return is based on the number of enemies Quietus hits.
And he's referring to small groups, like 2 gate guards.
Where Quietus's MP return will not sustain AD spam, you're going to end up in a single-target rotation regardless,
and DAAD's HP return means squat for the same reason,
and is also a lost +100 potency per mob via DP, or a lost +50 Blood via TBN [Quietus],
and AD's PPGCD is barely even exceeding SE's combo potency average,
and that's before considering SE combo's resource returns,
and Blood Weapon.
Which you should be dropping Grit for anyway, ideally as quickly as possible for BW uptime and resource regen (hence AD only until enmity locked).
It's not ideal, but its all you've got (this same weak-spot exists for other jobs as well).
DP could be interesting in these situations, but that 30 second recast is another penalty on the CD that prevents it from doing much.
But if DP is garbage, that makes DAQ twice as bad.
You're forgetting context..
DAAD on two mobs is a waste of MP with zero substantial returns. Hell, DADP's Blind probably has a better EHP return @ 50% MP cost than that DAAD's drain has on two mobs at 40% MP cost.
A two mob DAAD is not even a HoT tick worth of HP.
There's no residual gain from being +2 enmity ahead of DPS/Healers or +100 enmity above them ).
There's information they posted you should take a second look at.
On topic: The Blood Price and Grit-Siphon MP restore were ninja'd into 4.0 without mention, maybe they'll ninja in something this patch ...

DA AD is like 1500 hp per enemy, SE would heal more on 2 enemies even without DA. DA DP is better in two enemy case scenarios by far. My issues with it is the cost is way too steep. I barely ever have 4800 mp in those situations bc I am DAing everything or using TBN

Trait: Blood of the innocent: LV 70 When the Blackest Night falls off an ally due to damage absorbed, Delirium recast is reset.
Just a thought.

Just a thought. Actually that might be a little OP. Reduce recast of delirium by 60 seconds.
Suddenly all of the worry and concern over the preliminary patch notes has all been justified. I had hoped - prayed - that come final notes, we would see some inkling of positive changes that DRK needed. But... nah, forget about that. Have a bug fix about Blood Price.
SE why.
I could've done so much with my life. Then I played FFXIV. 10/10
I cancelled my sub, just gonna let it run out at this point. Game already has barely any progression content and has lacking pvp and now they can't even be bothered to even acknowledge the Dark Knight (yet again)
If they aren't going to bother with the Tank I enjoyed most then i'm just not gonna bother with this game anymore. I'll find my fun elsewhere, thanks.
