Complaining it's much louder than other voices is more reasonable, and I agree that some clips are too loud, but stating "people don't pick it for the combat voices" carries an implication that the players who choose the voice ALSO dislike the combat voice clips inspite of liking the others. That's simply not something we can have proven.
As an alternative view, I've played games where I started remembering the timing of skills based off the vocal clips. Or, some people just genuinely like bright, high pitched, or unusual voices, too.


(Also, you can actually listen to 8 clips in character creator. The 5 on the voice selection, the stretch emote when you flick on movement to see emotes, and the last two are a happy or sad response to if your name choice is confirmed or denied. The extra three aren't simple to find, so it's understandable that some players don't know how to trigger them.)

Again I know about the previews, it does NOT PREVIEW combat noises, people pick it for laugh or something, not the combat noise it makes, and I would venture a guess some regret it after hearing what they made in game.

I wonder how you'd like it(this is directed at the OP), if one day you logged on and your favorite race was gone because someone else hated it(which a lot of people do) and so their opinion and taste were deemed more important? Wouldnt that just suck.

Not the same. Also it is a really far fetched comparison to attack my over exaggeration on how much I hate it, the main point was to adjust it in some way to make it tolerable. This thing you did is called a strawman.
