Oh my god. I've always hated that voice. It makes me turn off all sounds in a duty except for music when I hear someone with that voice. It's also a "no comm for you" situation.

I guess people never got friend with high pitch voices or just don't friend them lol. It would hilarious if that were the case.

This voice is the only one I'm ever able to hear other then my own during hunts when there's several dozen people around for some reason.

Did they purposely make it louder then the others or something?

I'm pretty sure he meant REAL friends and their REAL voices. There are people that REALLY have high-pitched voices, you know. How do you "turn off sounds" in real life?! How do you talk with someone if you deafen yourself?! Unless both them and you know the language...whose name I forgot...that deaf/speechless people use...it's not possible.

It is a personal problem, but that doesn't change the point.

Main reason I feel bad for the people with that voice is that we still have no way to preview combat voices, the character creation screen only lets you listen to 5 emotes, so people might like that voice with the emotes, but then end up getting this horrible combat voice they didn't ask for, and can't change it without having to pay.

Our character creation screen lacks more than free to play games, it's about time they updated it with more face options, preview of every emote and combat voice, and give us a way to preview gear before using a fantasia, maybe an 1 hour "preview mode" where you can walk around as the new race with your usual glamour before confirming the change.

Even better, allow us to pick a voice type for each action, that would be awesome I love the little giggle on my lala, but the combat noise in Voice 1 >.<

YES PLEASE -laughs-. I'm very happy that I'm not the only one! I call it the mickey mouse voice, and it always, always gets on my nerves. To me it's not that it's high pitched, but that it sounds plain ridiculous and annoying. (Japanese battle grunts can be high pitched and they sound fine in my ears. Western ones like voice 5, not so much).

Clearly enough players use the voice that it's instantly recognizable, so just because a few players dislike it, every player with a character that uses it gets the shaft?

True. The "way it works" would be to put the issue forth to the parliament and have your democratically elected representatives vote on whether the voice should be banned or not, or whether it should be restricted to certain areas, whether you need to get a special certificate or badge to use it, whether you are only allowed to show it to people over 18 years or whathaveyou.
