this thread is starting to remind me of the early SMN "Get Gud Noob" posts by people who had really high end systems and connections when it came to pet problems. now these arent the same pet problems but having people come in and calling others lazy because they dont have problems is both rude and inappropriate and causes many long time players to not want to participate and give suggestions on how to fix problems. personally i feel Officer_Cat is trolling people and should be ignored.

yes we get it, not everyone is having problems, but there is a major pet problem some are having by pets dying when they shouldnt due to low physick healing and no Sustain.

Why you ask for Sustain because you are to lazy to tell your pet onetime where it should stand ?

Sorry but many other Summoners are able to tell there pet where to stand.. why not you ?
The only reason i know why is cause someone is lazy, it is a fact that if you tell your pet where to stand like behind the boss or whereever that it is not dying.

And the dps lose is maybe 1 autoattack of the pet...
If there bring sustain back be happy if not you probably need to get your ass up and tell your pet where to stand.

Again, none of those issues have anything to do with the request.

What is unavoidable that hits the pet sooo hard that it needs to get a heal ?!
Just as an example If Queens Waltz is hitting the whole group u need to heal anyone with an aoe heal or whatever something like this, then your pet get heals too.

I really would like to know where your pet dies or where your pet needs your attention to heal him.

You must not do much content, because even outside of Savage or Ex trials, it is quite easy for pets to get hit by AOE mechanics. Try a pull in Doma Castle, right after the large Collosus. The ground AOEs from that airship affect pets. A fairy spends more time healing herself (which she automatically does anytime her health dips below 80%, if I'm remembering the threshold correctly). If you're suggesting moving and replacing her out of every AOE, that's even more time she won't be spending healing the tank (any time your pet moves, that's GCDs lost in terms of damage or healing). A simple Sustain HoT on her would be more than enough to keep her from spamming Embrace on herself, and targeting a player that needs it more (i.e., a tank). I take it you also don't play SCH that much, because the amount of times a tank has failed to grab all the mobs and they decide to go attack my fairy instead is countless. She ends up either spamming Embrace on herself, or dying. A HoT on her would be better than me having to focus my attention on healing her AND the incompetent tank (who is usually also going down just as fast in most cases, since so many seem allergic to cooldowns), and possibly also prevent me from having to waste 2400 MP (at level 70) to resummon her--which is a hefty cost for a SCH; in extended fights, unless you are really good at pre-planning your MP usage, SCH can easily run into MP problems.

Likewise, constantly positioning and repositioning a pet during a savage raid is not only GCDs lost on behalf of your pet, but also GCDs lost in terms of your personal DPS/HPS for SCH, since you have to use a GCD to Place them, if not more than just one GCD.

I really would like to know why you're so against Sustain returning, or for pets to have some sort of GCD/oGCD regen ability, because you haven't really given any reasonable points. All you've said is "I don't need it, so others shouldn't need it either." Hardly a compelling argument.

Clearly the people that wanted Sustain far outweighed those whining that it wasn't needed. There was really nothing to lose by having it anyway, it's a completely optional action no different to healers that want to DPS. They don't have to, but it sure helps a lot when they do you know.

I think they initially removed Sustain because there were people too stupid to understand how Sustain actually worked. I mean, I've seen players spam Sustain thinking it's like Physick.

Well at least people will be able to have it if they need it.

Wasn't on my bar anyway because of, you know, healers and lack of threat on the pet's life in an overwhelming majority of cases, but it's back so there is no need to be grumpy about it anymore.
