Offtopic: It stands for, "too long; didn't read".
On topic: I agree with your post completely. While it is true that it's a game and people should decide how they want to play, but I think that should only goes as far as not affecting others. If people decide to come unprepared and ill mannered, then they shouldn't be too surprised to find themselves kicked from the party.
Oh, well now that I've been enlightened, allow me to comment. It's obvious you didn't read the post without saying so. Only in the first paragraph did I complain; The rest of the post was meant to help others that may need it. I can't figure out what's more idiotic: The fact that you didn't read the post and still thought you had any clue on how to appropriately paraphrase it, or the fact that you altogether admit that you didn't read it.
I read it. I think I paraphrased pretty well.Oh, well now that I've been enlightened, allow me to comment. It's obvious you didn't read the post without saying so. Players should have some player etiquette. It may be the internet, but there are real people behind the characters. Common sense on both sides would be really helpful here. Be on your game if you're playing and if you're in a party and someone isn't pulling their weight, don't sit there and take it. Do something about it. (Help them, boot them, your preference.)
(And typing out an etiquette class here isn't really helping anyone. It seems like you're just venting. Anyone that would need etiquette classes probably do not use the forums, or they wouldn't look at this thread. You're better off with one-on-one dealings with people like this. Or just no dealings at all.. lol)
I'm picking on you because your original post suggests the majority of what I had to say was pointless because "Some people just suck at MMO's and have bad manners to boot". That's not what the post intends to convey. As I said, you did a horrible job of interpreting it and I resent the fact that you encourage others to accept your shallow point of view.
This is me doing something about it from both sides. I asked that particular player to put on some more suitable equipment (as much as auto-translate could), and I made a post about it. Just because someone is new to the game doesn't mean they don't use the boards. After all, where would anyone new go to find help on the game they've just picked up? I have kicked people out of my party, but I really don't like to because it leaves a bad taste in my mouth even if the person really needed to be ejected.Players should have some player etiquette. All this is is a reminder of what is acceptable and what is expected from one player to another. If I have to do things I don't like to support me and you for the sake of mutual benefit, then you will too.
This is why I hate xp groups. There is always someone who fails at their job and yo end up with a vipe or a long prosess of getting people up.
