Are you frozen peeps sure you're not getting hit with the AOE that he throws out immediately after the Blizzard? The AOE circles can overlap, and if you're frozen (can't dodge) and in an overlapped area of more than one circle it's pretty much an instakill.

Is it confirmed that it's actually dealing damage? I tried looking it up in the combat log and couldn't find anything, but I'm not sure if that's because of my combat log settings.

I've seen the damage ticker go off on me, didn't see it in the log, but saw the red 40k damage that dropped my full ~32k HP bar to nothing.

Right at the beginning, when he first uses it, there aren't any other AoEs that I've ever noticed that go off close to the same time. I've watched people die at that point to just that. I've died when he was at the opposite side of the arena, against the railing, and I was against the other railing. Definitely a bug.
