We got Ozma already in Weeping City of Mhach, so my next wish would be Yojimbo for reals. I genuinely hope that his pitiful display in the lvl 70 dungeon is not the last we see of him. If it's not meant to be, then I would settle for The Magus Sisters- I feel like they get forgotten a lot, but they're one of my favourite summons.

Just please no more VII. I can't stand Sephiroth and Cloud after all the re-hashes, spin-offs, cameo appearances, and playing the game myself and dealing with their issues all game long.

Although...I would love to see how Omnislash would look when used against us. I imagine it'll be similar to what Thordan did when he summoned all twelve knights. But then again, I don't know how main heroes would work in battle against the party. They could possibly go with a mechanic similar to what we saw with the moogles, where we fight hero rosters instead of the heroes solo. Oh...actually, that wouldn't be such a bad idea either. A team of Cloud, Squall, Tidus, and Lightning could be an interesting fight.

They've avoided putting protagonists from previous games into XIV (the XIII cross-overs notwithstanding) and I honestly can go another day without seeing those four again. Tidus and Squall were just annoying and I've seen way way way too much of Cloud and femCloud. Wouldn't mind seeing some of the villains they fight though- Orphan and Sin would make for great spectacles if nothing else. More bosses too huge to fit on the platform, please.

I'd prefer they keep other games' protagonists out. Better yet, they should keep all characters who are part of other games' storylines out of this one. (I'm already upset they brought in Exdeath, Omega's copying tech nonwithstanding, and would rather they not repeat that mistake.) Characters like Cid who get re-imagined as a different person in each game are fine, they're part of what ties the series together. But main protagonists and main villains, or really any characters who are linked to the story they came from, should be off limits. (I can make allowances for brief crossover events, but only by treating them as non-canon.)

There are plenty of Final Fantasy spinoffs that bring in heroes and villains from multiple games. The key word there being "spinoffs". Final Fantasy XIV isn't supposed to be a spinoff. It's supposed to be a main series title in its own right. As such, it should remain separate from the other games. Both XI and XIV are already treading close to the edge of being spinoffs anyway just by changing genres from single player RPG to MMORPG. SE should be careful not to knock it over to the wrong side of that line.

If this thread were discussing who you'd like to fight in one or another of the series' spinoff games, then I could agree with several of the suggestions, as some of them sound like a lot of fun. Or if SE had never claimed this would be a main series title, and had named it Final Fantasy Online II rather than Final Fantasy XIV, then I could agree with them. But as is, I can't.
