    Well unique gear / untradable gear = 1 materia only (forbidden craft not allowed)
    normal gear = you can add 2nd materia which will outpowerd u/u.

    Might this help to re-balance stuff ?
    That is kind of what the post was about, again sorry it was so damn long.

    The short version is basically:

    All of the prior content the game had such as nms, dungeons, and even alot of the stronghold keys are not worth doing/getting because of the fact that the gear obtained from them is absolutely worthless compared to crafted gear that can be materiad. This makes doing the content completely pointless and leaves the game with a bunch of empty content that isn't even worth anyones time. They need to find a better way to balance the gear so that the old dungeons are actually worth doing over and over again, and even with future patches the current content isn't rendered worthless as well

    The reason I don't agree with the whole "Unique untradeable gear should only have 1 materia allowed added to it" is because of the fact that the stats that the materia add are so high that it would still strongly tip in the favor of crafted gear that can be bought from the market wards for 100k. I still hold strong on my opinion that the amount of effort required to get the 6,7, or 8 dungeon items to get that double stack is more than enough of a timesink to even things out. And again, the stat bonus would be so minimal over crafted gear that only the truely dedicated that play 40-50 hours a week would even want to strive for that extra 20-30 damage increase per weaponskill or 10-20 damage negation per attack. That is the perspective my plea is coming from, a person that is in a linkshell with a group of people that have absolutely nothing to do with their time other than spam ifrits and farm the very few stronghold items that are worth getting because the big draw of patch 1.18 is completely worthless as far as character progression goes.

    Yes, my unique stuff from pre-updated is rip-off and I think they should re-balance stuff out a bit.

    No one wants to run Faction Notorious monsters with me anymore. I liked to do these, now my points are capped. I still find the gear from these very decent and if you dont want t spend 150k on armor piece at the moment this is a nice alternative.

    However, ppl want the best. So no one wanna do 2nd tier run and older concent was quite thrown aside.

    and Unique/Untradable should stay the way it is - no meldable, no convertable.
