    I dont know what is post about I am lazy to read tbh. But if you wanna add materia to unique ? Is that about ?

    Well unique gear / untradable gear = 1 materia only (forbidden craft not allowed)
    normal gear = you can add 2nd materia which will outpowerd u/u.

    Might this help to re-balance stuff ?

    edit : I am taking this back, its really bad idea to meld materia to unique/untradable. It should stay non-meldable.

    Np, some people are arguing for crafted items to be the best you can have/wear in the game, whereas the other side is arguing why that would be bad for the game.

    Then I am stading behind my idea.

    Unique/Untradable vs Normal
    Unique is better than normal
    Unique is better than normal +1/2
    Unique can be on similiar level as normal +2/3 or +3 might be equal or slightly better

    Unique = 1 materia to attach
    Normal = 2 materias to attach (2nd forbidden craft)

    Where Normal +1/2/3 with +2 materias > overpower > Unique with 1 materia.

    But that would be a piece of work to balance. And nevermind, lets see what devs will come with.


    edit : I am taking this back, its really bad idea to meld materia to unique/untradable. It should stay non-meldable, non convertable

    Lol sounds good. I'm curious as to how SE will tackle this.. Because the crafters in here do have a point when they say crafting has to produce items of significant strength in order for them not to be eclipsed by raid gear.

    In WoW crafting is a joke and the only reason to have one maxed out is to gain a few stat perks... It really doesn't have anything to do with crafting something meaningful to use.

    On the flip side, if they make crafting produce the best items in the game, players can forgo fighting bosses and just buy the best in slot stuff w/ gil. Not only does this trivialize the content they're working so hard to release but it puts an additional, and in my opinion, unnecessary, emphasis on gil. Gil is already important in the game, I don't think we need to make it even more so by making it the best way to gear ourselves.

    TL;DR
    Balance crafting gear to be on par with raid and vice versa, that way neither is eclipsed by the other.

    Actually asside from stat perks the crafting proffesions in WoW are given new items to craft when new content is released. These are usually always BiS untill you get into more progression raiding. And let's not talk about the Jewlcrafting or Alchemy craft because those are always usefull no matter what tier of content you are in.

    That is kind of what the post was about, again sorry it was so damn long.

    The short version is basically:

    All of the prior content the game had such as nms, dungeons, and even alot of the stronghold keys are not worth doing/getting because of the fact that the gear obtained from them is absolutely worthless compared to crafted gear that can be materiad. This makes doing the content completely pointless and leaves the game with a bunch of empty content that isn't even worth anyones time. They need to find a better way to balance the gear so that the old dungeons are actually worth doing over and over again, and even with future patches the current content isn't rendered worthless as well

    The reason I don't agree with the whole "Unique untradeable gear should only have 1 materia allowed added to it" is because of the fact that the stats that the materia add are so high that it would still strongly tip in the favor of crafted gear that can be bought from the market wards for 100k. I still hold strong on my opinion that the amount of effort required to get the 6,7, or 8 dungeon items to get that double stack is more than enough of a timesink to even things out. And again, the stat bonus would be so minimal over crafted gear that only the truely dedicated that play 40-50 hours a week would even want to strive for that extra 20-30 damage increase per weaponskill or 10-20 damage negation per attack. That is the perspective my plea is coming from, a person that is in a linkshell with a group of people that have absolutely nothing to do with their time other than spam ifrits and farm the very few stronghold items that are worth getting because the big draw of patch 1.18 is completely worthless as far as character progression goes.

    Yes, my unique stuff from pre-updated is rip-off and I think they should re-balance stuff out a bit.

    No one wants to run Faction Notorious monsters with me anymore. I liked to do these, now my points are capped. I still find the gear from these very decent and if you dont want t spend 150k on armor piece at the moment this is a nice alternative.

    However, ppl want the best. So no one wanna do 2nd tier run and older concent was quite thrown aside.

    and Unique/Untradable should stay the way it is - no meldable, no convertable.
