    I think SE needs to think about which role to add for the new expansion. According to their data majority of the AST and DRK were already playing a healing or tanking class. This is one of the reasons why they added two DPS classes. The next class needs to be a healer and a tank, but those classes need to have something that lures the DPS players from their DPS class to the new tanking/healing class.

    Personaly, I want to see these two classes:

    Dancer: A healing melee ranged class that provides healing via their dancing and damage abilities. Whenever a Dancer attacks the enemy a % of the damage dealt to an enemy will heal the Dancer and their friends instead. If anyone here has played Warhammer Online, then this class would work similiar to the Disciple of Khaine. This will make the Dancer a very active class, something that alot of DPS players might want to try out.

    EDIT: Maybe the Dancer could have two stances? An healing stance where they play as casters and dance while healing the group and a melee support stance which makes their DPS abilities give shields and small heals to the group?

    Green Mage: A support tank wielding an hammer/mace (whichever one looks better) and a shield. This tank will provide special buffs (stuff like haste etc.) on their friends. Green Mage has a mechanic which lets the Green Mage plant special seeds on their friends, whenever they (friend) attack the monster, the enemity gained goes towards the Green Mage. Making the Green Mage an easy to use tank, who has support abilities and does mostly DPS.

    As you have noticed, my goal was to bring something different to FFXIV, but also find a way to introduce the other roles to the DPS players.

    Yes, GRM (Green Mage) please. They gave clubs to DRKs, but no Hammers to WAR, so hammer wielding class might be in the works.

    i dont think more jobs should be added to the game tbh, because players consently complain about "raid ultility" and will scream consently if the new job replace x job

    look at the state of tanks and healers..... they are consently being balanced around each other adding a 4th tank or healer will just make it a nightmare

    for example we always have these issues in game

    war vs pld vs drk
    sch vs whm vs ast
    blm vs smn vs rdm
    sam vs mnk
    brd vs mch

    adding anymore jobs will make balancing raid dps a lot harder because people have the mentality of "bring the job not the player"

    until they abolish "raid ultility" adding more jobs will just be a pain

    also no just no to people asking for dancer to be a damage healer

    if dancer is added to the game which heals base upon the damage they deal (sigh mistweaver rip off from warcraft) then all the healers would get trashed and raid teams will only take dancer because they add raid dos to make the kill quicker

    but seriously if they want to add new jobs they will need to look at new role entirely take away all raid ultility from all jobs in the game and make a new role called "support" these jobs do not have high dps or high healing capabilties but what they provide is strong ultility support which helps groups

    for this u may add for the new support role

    geomancer, dancer, beast master, ninja

    geomancer = support with earth
    dancer = support with dances
    beast master = support with Roars
    ninja = support with ninjutsu

    Honestly it seems Geomancers are tied to Astologians so I don't think they will be their own Job even though they use different spells.

    The dev team already said this will never happen because it would mean they'll have to tune EVERY content to accommodate the new role.
    Also Ninja as a support but not Bard? Uhh no.

    Full support classes are a nightmare to balance.

    I just hope they add Geomancer as a tank. We're only getting 2 new jobs and none of them will be dps so hopefully Geomancer is a tank who uses nature to protect itself and attack. They could use the elements to reduce damage taken or damage done by enemies depending on the nature spells they use.

    Look at these amazing skills from FF Tactics A2....

    Shining flare, venom squall, avalanche, mist storm, nature's embrace, artifice's embrace, life's embrace, earth's embrace
    Embrace could be the main defense skills and the others the enmity skills

    Create mist storm, unleash an avalanche.
    Create mist storm, unleash venom squall

    So perfect and fun

    And to add even more evidence of Geomancer being added..Geomancers are also known as Taoists or Elementalists and guess which glamour we have in stormblood? Taoist dress/robe.

    SE may already have an idea on new jobs based on MSQ and the AST job quest line from SB

    The AST job quests show that Geomancy is a thing in game

    Near the end of the current MSQ Lyse uses a weapon type not currently used by any job in the game along with her Dancer-esque attire.

    I really don't think the entire community should suffer no further jobs based on the proportionally small raiding community.
