It's not a secret that developers and Yoshida-san heavily dislike parsers.
I think someone already mentioned that old interview, when he walked out when asked about parsers.
Still, a personal parser would be a really good step in right direction.

He walked out when asked about but slider I think. Anyway, at times DEVS will say what they player base want to hear so pay more attention to what they do. If Yoshida really wants to remove parsers all they need to do is to change how the combat log works and for example only show upgrade information after a fight is done. There, no more parser in real time.
Just wanted to clarify this. It's not even an old live letter, but people have already forgotten what happened. He walked out when asked about but slider I think. The question was if we could get a personal parser. Yoshi gets up part way and is jokingly pulled back into his seat by Koji. Yoshida has also done this on other questions that have been dodged and/or answered many times over, parsers being just one of those topics that he'd just prefer to 'dodge' [read: repeating himself] since his answers go in one ear and our of the other in the community. The answer on the personal parser was he fully understands the community would be able to crack the coding and turn a personal parser into a group one and start excluding people. He does not want to give people tools anymore than they have now to exclude other players.
