I feel that parsing, or rather lack thereof, is being used as a scapegoat by many people.

They can't progress past certain content because groups they're in don't meet the dps requirements, so they blame the lack of transparency with dps rankings.

Well newsflash; having a parser won't stop that from happening. Sure if a parser shows that someone has low dps you can replace them but there's no guarantee that the replacement will be better unless it's a player you personally know.

In-game parsing is not some magical tool that takes bad players out of the equation. I played WoW for a very long time and still constantly met bad players who even had parsers themselves. It really would not have the dramatically positive effect many posters here like to believe.
