Can you prove this?Or it stems from watching decent communities commence ripping themselves apart and devolving into epeen competitions where if you cannot do everything like world first raiders then "you are a piece of shit blight on the community that should just uninstall the game and you wont be allowed into any content." "Oh also that gear piece that just dropped is an upgrade for me so give it to me since you are a piece of shit blight on the community who is going to uninstall the game because I told you to or I will report you for trolling."
Which has been basically every single MMO where parsing became common. I cannot for the life of me think of a single community where parsing actually made things better, and only made things worse for everyone not a top 10% hardest difficulty raider.
I was tanking a boss with sword oath in a dungeon and kept aggro, did better damage and mitigation than most, but I got kicked. So your reasont to be kicked was either they were retarded or something else happened that I don't know of. This just proves so much what me and other says, you can be an asshole or retard to kick someone for the silly moments. However when someone does just okay in a dungeon, I would give a rats ass, since I don't expect roulette people to even play good, since majority aren't even that good. But when I do extreme trials or raids, I expect people to do good and if they don't they shouldn't be there. There is a thing knowing the fight, there is another thing beating the 3 min dummy strike which makes no sense too. Both things doesn't make you qualified to do the fight at all, if you can handle both mecanics and do good damage then you are.
That might be your opinion and you have every right to think so about me as you don't know me.
What I meant is that those people most likely don't even know how bad they actually perform, me calling them out would do nothing. Giving them advice more often than not doesn't help either even with a friendly thone because they think they do good as they get through the dungeon...
I only had one time where someone took me up to the offer and he actually improved by a alot. Some people just need that little push or they are left in the blind.

I'm not sure how you can even begin the type that he was saying anything like that when anyone can just listen to what he actually said and know that what you wrote there is not even remotely related to it. Heres the actual part where he was complaining about it https://youtu.be/L42N_gc_-zI?t=2h4m25s. Its pretty obvious he was actually talking about people using padded parses to show their epeen and had nothing to do with actually disliking fflogs itself(during the rant he even talks about the right way to use fflogs)It was a general dislike, because the misuse can happen with both and he was criticizing the bad influence they both have on the community based on the reception of WHM, where he said that ppl should judge after trying out things and not before.
Point is that that it's not entirely true that only ppl who don't do savage dislike parsers

That's the only discussion on the party chat before I was kicked, trying to explain why I don't need Shield Oath because I'm not the one tanking. And yes, it has everything to do with the discussion since people actually believe harassement from "low" DPS numbers will obviously be punished...
I did my fair share of Coil and tried Alex Savage back in 3.0, so I've seen what kind of mentality you can find in some parser users. I don't need to try Omega now to see that mentality still in place (if not worse), I just need to see what information is spread in the official forum.
I don't need to know you, and you probably are a very decent person. But on that topic, if you think the only excuse for not using parser is because people just want to be lazy, then you're part of the mentality problem. It's like people who claim that if you don't want your life to be watched 24/7, it's because you must have something to hide.

I don't even care to see the numbers of others with an official parse, it would actually help them already if they see their own DPS, they can still compare and the toxity would be hold on a leash too that way as others would still have no official means to know your numbers.

What I want is that people have means to improve, I can't expect anyone to get better if they don't know their own numbers. I know I was at most decent before I started figuring my numbers and improving on that.

This right here. You just said and admited what most of us already said. You will get kicked or harrased, whatever if you run one or not. The fact you got kicked for telling them the truth that you don't need shield oath, then got kicked, speaks loud of the other issues with the community. Those types of people are those who needs to see with their own eye how badly they perform, which I don't think is a bad thing, some people needs to stop being on their high horse for implying they perform good and they are just super bad. And I bet 100 bucks that guy didn't even use a parser lol. That's the only discussion on the party chat before I was kicked, trying to explain why I don't need Shield Oath because I'm not the one tanking. As a fellow PLD o/, sometimes i tank (full time) in Sword Oath, depending on Dungeon/Group/etc.That's the only discussion on the party chat before I was kicked, trying to explain why I don't need Shield Oath because I'm not the one tanking. And yes, it has everything to do with the discussion since people actually believe harassement from "low" DPS numbers will obviously be punished...
This just means that you encountered random idi...ahem, bad players, who don't know what they are doing. (i.e. kicking out an OT with DPS stance)
I don't think that has to do anything with parsing, tho.
MCH/BRD/PLD
*puts hand up* I'm not interested in doing savage content or anything similar, and I don't hate parsers! I'm just an average casualI say blame the person, not the tool, if said parser user is being negative/non-constructive towards others regarding their dps. Just my two pence worth, some of us DO welcome constructive criticism, even if we don't parse our numbers or do hardcore content
