    I agree that it needs a rework, but never get rid of it.

    I like the idea of making it a WHM only skill. It could be done if ad a def bonus for Light Party and Full Party formations along with some buffs to AST and SCH skills:

    WHM could get Protect as an aoe 20% damage reduction buff with an animation similar to the ones used by Louisoix or Kan-E-Senna on the ARR openig movie.

    SCH could get a 10% damage reduction on Adlo (This would justify increased mp cost when compared to Whm and Ast equivalent skills), 5% on Succor (both effective only while the shield part is up) and a buff to Sacred Soil effect.

    AST would get duration increase on The Bole (maybe with a buff on its effect too as form to compensate its RNG nature) along with a buff to the damage reduction % of Collective Unconscious and a 5% damage debuff effect to Gravity.

    I think this would give a more unique feel to the gameplay of these classes

    Since SE is in love removing rarely used abilities, they need to give the damage back to FA or just remove the ability. Why did they take out the damage anyway?

    The stated that they removed it due to not wanting WHMs to have to rush into bosses to deal damage. Like always healers were getting flamed for "not using their whole kit" because some of us didn't want to run into such close range on bosses just for a bit of DPS.

    They took damage out of every stun and knockback ability for every job. They don't want them used on CD for damage. They want them used for when they need to be used for the special effect and only the special effect.

    Get rid of it. A spell you only cast once and then forget it for 30 mins is a waste of screen real-estate. Wow got rid of buffs because it made no sense there either. Gone are the days when buffs like these meant something
    ..which is quite unfortunate.

    Its likely already someone said this but remove it from the role skills. Make it a White Mage skill that works the same as in PvP. Its amazing there but its near pointless in PVE when its a base line anyway.

    Protect is iconic, come on guys. That being said, it shouldn't be a role class skill. Make it so that all healers have it naturally, or have their own. Protect, Shell ,etc.

    A waste in its current form, but it should be fixed rather than just removed. Make it a bit stronger, but last something like 30 seconds rather than 30 minutes, and make it WHM exclusive. (Oh, and add Shell, too.)

    I'd like it moved out of the Role and placed back into the Actions, having to use a macro to swap out to reapply after each raid wipe is workable but annoying. I'd like to reapply after a rez but I cant afford to keep it all the time. They need to add like 1 to 2 more slots to the Role box if they want us to keep it all the time and leave it in the Role.

    I was a bit annoyed they made esona and Shroud/dreaming a class skill when every healer spec had a version of it. Rather than adjust what level you earn the skill you basically made mandatory skills occupy what is supposed to be bonus skills for different situations. If anything should be removed from the game from that set it may as well be Cleric Stance, it's just trash now.
