Not having DoTs or stat buffs isn't a co-relation to being under BRD's dps.

Better make sure the right song is playing and Troub it. MCH? Time it right and wrench it. 2% crit up and 3% DH up are quite nice, but neither guaranteed. Hypercharge is straight damage up for the duration. Nature's Minne is quite nice, but you can live without it just like you can live without Mantra or an aoe Bole.
Dismantle being on a 60 second cooldown makes it more competitive with troubador. An example, the former can be used on all dark token phases during O3s, or both meteor combos during Exdeath, while BRD can mitigate the entirty of the book phase or both the fire3 and holy combo on Exdeath

And while MCH could do with more support options (or finally cross over the line into "pure" DPS territory), we're not really at a loss for it, nor should any parties so vehemently bypass them for a BRD. If your party needs the support, by all means, but you're in no way hindered having a MCH.
As far as damage is concerned, the two should be a bit more closer in damage output. At least with MCH, their overall mechanic is sound except for cooldown in relation to their heat generation (not used at all unless you've already overheated)
