A thread for those who enjoy FFXIV

I really like the game, always love doing the story with each patch and expansion. My only issue is that I don't really like DF anymore since most of the time it's a speed run, which I'm just not up to healing after a long day at work.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm a decent healer but there are times I'm just not up to a speed run. I have nerve damage and my fingers don't always do as they're told. Some days are worse than others and on those days speed runs are definitely out.

I'm having so much fun! Finally leveling up my first gathering job, fishing! Started going after Big Fish and I'm having the time of my life AND making tons of gil! Why didn't I ever do this sooner?

Stormblood is great. Patch 4.1 though is going to be epic. At long last, I get to Lvl 60 JP a number of classes, such as MNK, BLM and SCH!

I love gathering, I find it very relaxing. Mining is my favorite, then botany then fishing. I haven't gotten into the fishing 60+ yet though so I'm hoping spear fishing is fun. Right now my mining and botany are both 69 so won't be long before I do fishing too. Then I start all my crafts from 60-70.

You're in for a treat. 60+ is where it got interesting, at least for me. I've been going back and fishing for the "Big Fish" of previous expansions, and it's really added a lot of depth with perfecting my usage of Patience and the Powerful/Precision hook sets.

I just got into spearfishing, it's not bad so far. It basically takes the concept of "nodes" from mining and botany and injects it into fishing. Nice part is you don't have to deal with mobs and stuff underwater! Just "fly" from node to node and spear those fishes! I told my FC last night that FSH is my new main, lol. They all laughed at me. We'll see who's laughing when I'm the richest FC member. Muahaha.

Also I enjoy the events that pop up every couple months. Halloween is usually my favorite but Moonfire Faire is a close second. I'm not a fan of spending days doing the same dungeon over and over for gear (too busy doing all the content) so I'm delighted with the dye-able shisui set we can get from the Faire this year.
