Tattoo I can kind of see...but players should be allowed to have different tattoos anyway. If you mean the Goobue mount, don't the Sylphs give you that one? Weren't the Moogle items exclusive to buying a soundtrack or stream or something? They're in the cash shop now. Who's to say the other 1.0 things won't be added too.

I could see why raiders would frown upon having gear and such that they worked hard to get suddenly made meaningless, like with the Avatar title. I could see why some left. But many stayed. They stayed knowing this would happen. Again and again and again.

And many of them still raid. For the fun. The challenge. The ability to work together as a team. The sweet taste of victory when it's all over.

And months down the line when everyone and their mom is riding around on that feathered snake, those raiders can say "I was one of the first people to have that." They won't look at it and think "I worked so hard for that and now EVERYONE has it! NOT FAIR." because they'll be practicing Ozma savage or whatever comes next.

And for a few months anyway, they'll be one of the few proud owners of that mount. And they can bask in other players' pride/envy as they please. See also: the bragging ledge in Idyllshire They'll be riding around on their shiny new Ozma mount.

There's always a greater challenge to attain. If you're worried about other people having something you (not directed at any one person) worked so hard for months ago, you shouldn't be looking at a digital item as your only reward. You've had your exclusivity and your time in the sun. You can be proud of the fact that you had the skill/determination/teamwork to make it happen back when it was difficult. Are those not rewards too?

SE did a lot to fight the win-traders but it's still an issue.

SE actually barely does anything, and nothing note worthy. The only thing they've accomplished every season was making it easier every season to wintrade with their garbage rating/matchmaking system.

Now, people can make alts and unlock every role with 1 jump potion to wintraders/throw even harder now. SE will continue to ignore wintrading/throwing because they don't monitor PvP and they simply don't care. People need to come to this realization already, it'll never change and they have proven time and time again.

The only people actively watching and stopping wintraders is the actual player base. Anyone who actually PvPs in this game knows this.

I agree with the OP. I made a thread about this a while ago as well, very glad to see SE doing it this way. Hopefully they will add old seasonal rewards to this ticket system but would prefer if they make it so you still need to place in top 100 in new seasons to get old top 100 rewards with a special voucher/ticket while putting new rewards in every season as well but only getting to pick 1 reward for a top 100 placing regardless if it is new or old. If it ends up being a grind, at very least, I hope they make it crazy long enough to keep these items very rare like mentor mount or 3000 comms mount or tiger hunt mount.

They were advertised as exclusive, so if you want to press square enix to false advertise for previously exclusively items I'm sure your ideas won't be greeted gently by the vast majority of the PVP community. PVP has changed entirely now, and therefore it should not intertwine with previous exclusive items as you are essentially no longer playing the same mode.

I didn't grind for the shiny yokai mount, I didn't get it. Therefore I simply do not deserve it. Nor do I wish for it to be reinstated in the future as a possible mount reward as it should be a reward for players who did it during that time, making them stand out as a veteran. Is it so hard for you to not have everything?

I participated in the first 3 seasons, and would consider myself certainly skilled enough to place within top 100, but work and real life didn't permit me to stay actively in the competition. I didn't get those rewards, and I'm still alive and breathing. The sun still rises each day, and I don't even miss those rewards I didn't get.

I'm not even sure I'll bother with Season 5 because I can guarantee I can live with or without the new rewards too. If this token system will allow them to be obtained later, I have even less motivation to get in on it RIGHT NOW, and that's an issue worth noting. I'm not entirely convinced this is a good idea, but I've seen worse decisions regarding the Feast made in the past. . .
