Steam payment HUGE price increase!

For recurring payment? I'm not talking about one time payment. There is a difference. A one time payment is - you top up your wallet and pay for a month of game time. And you have to do it manualy every time. A recurring subscription is - you set it and it's all automatic, on the same day every month. You don't have to do anything for it, it just takes your money from a card on it's own. And after checking again, there is no option to do that via Steam Wallet alone. One time payments have changed. Recurring haven't.

He can use steam to do recurring payment but he can't pay using steam wallet? he should contact steam cause there is probably some error on his account, i never saw this kind of problem and I have friends using steam wallets in other regions as well, even regions that didn't had regional price.

From what a friend of mine that uses the same option told me you can use the steam wallet for the automated process, but it only works if you have no credit card attached to that account. Maybe that is the problem he is having o.o

I'm not rich and the economy/living standards in my home country are about on par with russia but we didn't get any special treatment and we always had to pay the same as everyone else in the world.

Why do you insist in coming back to the topic of fair price?

There is two topics here:

Topic A: If the price is fair or not
Topic B: Change the price without warning.

We are talking about the topic B here. If the price is fair or not, it's for the costumer to decide.

We only wanted to be warned about the price change, and people have the power to choice to continue to pay for the game or even the expansion.

Has you friend tried doing it through the Mog Station? Because you are supposed to manage your sub through there even if you own the game on Steam.

So you are complaining in this thread to get people to stop complaining about a topic that doesn't effect you in any way, shape, or form? That's... logical, I guess?

But you are wrong. We as customers have every right to voice our dissent if the company we do business with does something we do not agree with. Maybe we will enact some form of change and maybe we won't, but if we just mutely shuffle along no matter what they do, that definitely won't accomplish anything. I'm sure in the end it will result in many, many players leaving the game, if for no other reason than it is now beyond their economic reality to afford the sub any more.

In the specific case of my husband and I, we can still afford it after the price increase but have yet to decide if we want to keep doing business with SE after the many instances of them treating us like garbage (especially recently.) For now I'm settling with expressing my displeasure here and on Steam and hoping for at least some form of response from SE. To be honest I'm not holding my breath on that head, but their response, or lack thereof, is probably what will be the deciding factor on whether or not we stay subbed.
