Steam payment HUGE price increase!

Yes ...not giving people some kind of warning is wrong. I don't see how people can disagree with that. However the actual price change I don't see as wrong.The only place it is a major price change is in Russia. But they where paying the equivalent of about $5-$6 US. The Brazilian price hike I believe was about a 60% price hike.

Because I checked it with a friend who uses Steam to sub and that's his only option. He doesn't get an option to use the Steam Wallet. And Steam throws cards at us every sale and you can earn several months worth of game time via them.

I'm not rich and the economy/living standards in my home country are about on par with russia but we didn't get any special treatment and we always had to pay the same as everyone else in the world.

So instead of fighting for have a fair price for you too, you choose to bother the ones that are fighting for their fair price?

Also, upon checking, it dawned on me why people insist on one time payments via steam. A recurring payment links your card and is always the same amount, and does not allow Steam Wallet to integrate itself, so your Steam Wallet funds can't go towards your subscription.

Cause it doesn't change anything and if i have an emergency i can renew it some days later, money isn't easy.

You can renew it anyway even with recurring. You can stop your sub for a few days if you want and then re-sub. I had to go on a trip for a month in 2014, I cancelled my sub and re-subbed when I came back.

You CAN use steam wallet funds. Did just that 3 days ago.

We are running in circles here the fact that only Brazil and Russia where affected and only the one time payments using steam wallet while even people from those very own country's allrdy had to pay the correct fees on Mogstation and PS4 should be enough to proof that this was just a stupid oversight on steam, as i said bevore people who payed less from there should be happy it lasted as long as it did, complaining now won't help.

If you are not going to even try to understand the issue here (which is the SUDDEN price increase, no warning, nothing at all and on a moment far too shady. It's the lack of respect that Square is showing to us customers), you shouldn't even bother to visit this thread, you are just going to look like a troll trying to enrage everyone o.o

He can use steam to do recurring payment but he can't pay using steam wallet? he should contact steam cause there is probably some error on his account, i never saw this kind of problem and I have friends using steam wallets in other regions as well, even regions that didn't had regional price.
