The regional price was only for subscription, Game items were priced at the current exchange rate, it suited everyone. In general, all this is not important. Return money to people for a hundred-billboard and disperse.)))
Back when Heavensward was released, the prices on Steam for Brazil were higher than via MogStation, but who bought the standard at Steam had to pay the price to play.
At the present, Stormblood had a lower price in BRL via Steam, but game time and other optional items/services had their convertion rate changed from USD 1,00 -> BRL 2,00 to USD 1,00 -> BRL 3,20.
So, yeah, it's due to the Stormblood launch.
I suggest we all (affected) request refund for stormblood on steam. What a scam really, release new expansion as bait for new and old players, then increase price for sub 3x times. Hmm, i wonder how many people would not have bought stormblood if they announced this "currency corrections" before release? I'd take a guess and say at least 90% russian playerbase and quite a lot of brazilian players.
This is causing a lot of drama in-game. Half of my FC said they'll quit the game and keep complaining all the day about this.
It was a dirty move to adjust the conversion rate one month after the release of a new expansion and without a warning.
This is probably Steam wanting more money and SE giving a damn for the players.
Then let them make a fee of 100$ per month because "a business first and foremost"Regardless it's in their right to ask for more money based on current market conditions instead of one that is 2 years old.
Not disagreeing that a lower cost might be better for you guys but expecting it to be the same as it was is unrealistic SE is a business first and foremost.
Do you agree to pay 100$?

Youtuber talking about price increase!

Hmm why they do this so dirtily? without any warning 3x up prise, after release of Stromblood when all bought it
I can pay new price really, not too much for me, but i not sure that i will do it. This is principle matter, just dont tolerate attitude like this.

What's more frustrating is that now us, brazilian players, have to pay an absurd price "to pay the same as everyone else" while we don't have the same services available for everyone else. We don't have sourh american data centers/SA servers, we don't have the game in brazilian portuguese (or portuguese at all), the change of the NA data centers made the latency we play with to be worse than it already was, we can't join the game's contests because we are not from NA, EU or Japan. If it's for us to pay the same, then SE should at least provide us with these same services and rights the rest of people have- considering how they KNOW our player base is big. I mean, they did went out of their way to make an FFXIV trailer in BR portuguese to invite ppl to the game, so.

I just wanna say as a theory that the different prices for regions has been exploited.
They just made the move to bring out exploiters. I wanna se the brazilian players writing perfect portuguese xD
