Here's a macro I've been using an it's very convenient to use:
/micon "Dragon Sight"
/merror off
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/ac "Dragon Sight" <x>
/tle
You can just copy paste this straight to your macro in game. Just change the x into any kind of number your designated Dragon Sight is in the party list. If you set your party list to DPS > Tank > Heal, the next Melee DPS after you will always be in number 2. The /tle makes it so that when you successfully cast Dragon Sight you will target your previous target back.
Not familiar with those, but there are pretty much two macros people use for dragon site. One targets the closest player, the other targets a specific member position in your party. Both of them return your target to last enemy and work pretty smooth as long as you hit them clean. I use the closest party member, sometimes i get a misfire and tag a healer but I'm lazy so.

My initial impressions reading the buffs: that is objectively a 4.3% increase to theoretical GCD rotation, and empirically based on Susano EX numbers that means yeah about 2-3% overall. That's... comparable with patch 2.45.
My initial impression after taking a few attempts at a dummy: This does buy you a little time for eyes falling off in a raid, but the part that strikes me immediately is that it seems you're no longer supposed to hold that itchy Geirskogul finger forever just to get BfB and enough seconds on BotD to get 3 Nastronds; the timer part should happen more naturally.
That's kind of the logic I've been going by as a casual... at least when it was 6y, if a healer wants to stand so close to the (ahem) spear-wielding liability that they could get the buff, they deserve it whether they want it or not.Not familiar with those, but there are pretty much two macros people use for dragon site. Yeah, something I didn't notice right away: activating LotD now starts with the timer at 20 seconds no matter what. So you're pretty much guaranteed 2 nastronds and anything above 21-22 will get you 3. I didnt have an issue getting 3, but I'll take what i can get.
