Thread: Dragoons... how do you feel post 4.0?

I liked DRG both in ARR and HW. And in SB too, but only until I reached lv70 and found that this final skill made this once such simple and cool job into a complete trainwreck. Absolutely hate nastrond, because it makes DRG much harder to play and this skill not even feels very powerful in return to how complicated DRG playstyle it makes.

Used to be my main job, now i'm throwing into trash bin.

I didn't play brd. Drg doesn't have a lot of reactionary abilities anymore. Fang and claw will always proc wheeling thrust and vice versa. Rotation is now set in stone. It's more like pld now if I had to compare it to anything. You have a set rotation with "burst" phases.

Ahh that's not really my bag. Too bad; the class aesthetics are great!

The changes definitely helped the job feel less frustrating, though I think it helps that the omega fights aren't as punishing for DRG compared to lakshmi and susano. That being said, personal dps is still too low for what we offer in comparison to NIN, so come 4.1 I'm hoping we get just a little bit more.

Dungeons and lost canals/aquapolis are much more enjoyable now (but lotd still takes too long).
